With the picks of Brazillian KD and DD, I truly believe Masai has some signings/trades lined up. He has too. Neither of these picks help the team next year.

I don't agree with the line of thinking that other players drafted late lottery and early second round will be out of the league soon. This was a pretty damn good draft with quality players that could be found very late in the rounds. However I'm still glad Masai swung for the fences here.

From what I have seen so far I'm not as impressed as I was last year with Giannis grainy pre-draft highlights. This is the first video most of us ever saw of Giannis, and I was blown away right from the start.

You could tell right away that Giannis was so quick, smooth, and fluid for a guy his size, and he had really good handles. I don't see the same quickness in Caboclo. He's more awkward and deliberate, and I don't see anything close to the same handles.

I'm not saying I'm down on Caboclo, more that I'm not sure if he's a small forward long term. I think he'll be a really good stretch 4 eventually if he can add the weight.

I would prefer for him to stay at SF though as I think that's where his potential would be best for me, but it will probably be easier for him to add weight and play the 4 than it would be for him to develop a tighter handle and better lateral quickness to play the 3.

Even if these picks were going to "help" right away, there would still have to be trades/signings lined up.

As I've said before that's not so terrible in this day and age where small forward is the most dominant position. We're going to need someone with size and length to defend LeBron, Durant, George, Leonard, Melo, Wiggins and Parker. Hell look how much trouble we had against Joe frikkin' Johnson.

And being 3+D doesn't automatically limit him to being a Thabo Sefolosha. Casey said he reminds him of Rashard Lewis who most would say was nothing more than a shooter, well post Seattle. If he can become anything close to Lewis in his prime while defending at an elite level that's a steal at 20.

From the two videos provided a lot of his shots were from posting up. He had a nice left handed drive and spun back to the middle for a soft right handed hook shot (5:30 mark in the 59 min video).

I think its really smart what they are doing , they want him here to start working on his body and nutrition first and foremost , then start to work on his game .

even though I wanted Napier I think this is the better pick, Napier does help us right away but his ceiling his relatively low because hes an older player Caboclo is the youngest player in the draft with upside and can possibly be our starting SF in the future.
