He reminds me of Baynes from Spurs, aussie C as well.. both build like rocks.. Cameron can play PF or C,Baynes is pure C. Bairstow and Smith could be decent backups from the bench,if given a chance, but with Thibs you never know.

In the worst case scenario that we have to trade Taj and Dunleavy for cap space, we are looking at PF by committee for 1 year before Mirotic comes over.

I'm not sure that makes any sense at all. They aren't going out of their way to do anything. They liked him and they picked him. Did you say the same thing when the Bulls took Taj in the last first round?

We can call it the "white power" lineup.

Wait. On second thought, no, we probably ought not do that.

makes perfect sense to me, 100% sure.

In comparison to say our last 2nd round pick, it seems Chicago is much higher on this guy.

Ahh nvm then, i thought you were using that phrase in a negative light. My bad! But you are right, they seem very high on him for sure.

The no step vertical reach is just as important.

Despite weighing more than all the power forwards listed. Check out some the names that Bairstow is greater than or equal to in this aspect.

Cameron Bairstow 11'6
Julius Randle 11'2.5
Patrick Young 11'3.5
Aaron Gordon 11'5.5
James McAdoo 11'4
Al Horford 11'6
Carl Landry 11'2
Tyler Hansbrough 11'1
Blake Griffin 11'5
Taj Gibson 11'2.5
Anthony Randolph 11'6
Michael Beasley 11'5
DeMarcus Cousins 11'4.5
Larry Sanders 11'5.5
Greg Smith 11'4
Erik Murphy 11'0.5

Bairstow is more likely to dunk alot at a standstill more than most power forwards if he catches the ball in the paint. That combined with skills we see in this video.

Nbadraft.net did an article about the most prolific Dunkers in college and of all the kids that got drafted Bear-stow was up near the very top.
