Why are so many peopel ranking LeBron 2013 over LeBron 2012?
I think his playoffs in 2012 were one of the most amazing runs ever, and that 2013 was great but not as great.
2012 LeBron lead the team in PPG, APG, RPG, SPG (only 2 other players dominated 4 stats on a championship run - Magic and Duncan) and he put up game 6 vs Boston, game 4 vs Indiana, and probably the best NBA Finals of his career (he was really consistent vs OKC). Also He won both MVP awards, played elite D even better than in 2013... at least I see it that way.

Only reason why 09 is over 10 is because of him blowing it against Boston. In all honesty if he had made it to the Finals that year like expected, it would arguably be GOAT season

Lebron made it to the finals with that cleveland team.
Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

Because his 2013 rs was better than in 2012, as was the Heat's overall performance (16 losses in 82-game season >> 20 losses in 66-game season). And got to same end-result with a lesser DWade than in '12, too.

I felt like he really had no weaknesses offensively this year, but his defense dropped off a lot. 12 was his best defensive season imo, but offensively he wasn't as good as the other seasons. 13 and 09 are almost a toss up, but I think he still had some things to learn offensively in 09.

09/12 - leaning towards 09 but both years had multiple scorch the world moments
Gap
13 - First off this year is on a lower level from the 09/12 and it was hard to choose but I ultimately chose this year because the only time he disappointed was the first 5 games of the finals but after that he remembered he was Lebron and ended it.
14 - Overall its not better than 2010 but he didn't give up on his team he just coaster and was clearly tired after 400 games plus Olympics in 4 years.
10 - He quit on a 60+ win team.

In what ways would you say 13 is better than 09? He was worse on both ends of the floor and in the playoffs.

More versatile offensively with a stronger post-game and 3 ball which made him more efficient. Better defensively in 09 though.
As far as his 09 playoffs run goes, the first two teams were terrible while he faced some really strong defensive teams in 13. I don't like to just label his 09 run as his best ever just because of the 37 PER. I mean it probably was his best ever, but I don't buy that it was that much better compared to some of his other runs.

Its easily his best run. Sure it gets overrated (he did play no D against Orlando) but he was still amazing by any standard. Its also the only playoff performance he ever had where he didn't suck at any point along with 2012.
