I'm fairly certain that Damien Inglis will be better then Huestis in three years when it will matter. Huestis takes up the 14th roster spot. Semaj takes up #15, unless they paid $1M for a Summer League player. Is Huestis better than other players that could be in that roster spot? Vince Carter, Paul Pierce, C.J. Miles, Nick Young, Jodie Meeks, etc? Are they all inferior to Huestis?

I know, they can cut Thabeet to open up one roster spot and add an FA. Then they have no flexibility when a player gets bought out at the trade deadline. They also only have the ability to add one FA instead of two. So what happens when that one pulls a Fisher in the playoffs and shots 25% from 3? They don't have another option to throw in there because Huestis and Roberson are D-League players and not ready for the NBA.

The Thunder have 3 SGs on the roster and two of them have been slated for the D-League. They already have 15 players. That's going to be real interesting.

Barring injury, I'd bet you an And 1 that Semaj will get the Jerrett treatment. D League contract then at the very end of the season they sign him.

i'm looking forward to seeing adams and mcgary on the court at the same time. 2 of my favorite players from the past 2 drafts. i guarantee one thing, that duo, if they see time together will never get punked, out-muscled or out-worked.
2 underrated passers too. hopefully they don't get ignored on offense like i think they will.

This is intriguing to me too. Defenders better have their heads on a swivel and have teammates calling out picks. Both of these guys are known to level dudes.

My main concern is just the back and off the court stuff. So long as he can stay healthy and he isn't some sort of idiot I think he has a chance to be a solid role player here. At 21 you're doing pretty good if you can land a solid role player.

It seems unlikely unless we land another combo guard in free agency. With Russ's knee and RJ likely playing more minutes at the two we have nobody else capable of playing the point. Unless we release Thabeet and Jarrett Semaj is going to have to be carried as our third point.

I think that's precisely what is happening. Free agency to fill that void Fisher left.

Loved the pick and the write ups on him. Scouts says he's very mobile, intelligent on his play and he has high motor/energy. Doesn't that sound a bit like Varejão? His one and only skill that needs dramatic improvement, according to write ups, is shooting, the rest is ok and will be above average for a role player. Plus, he'll have Collison to work with, who is probably the Chuck Norris of role players to mentor him.

Really want Gasol to sign. All Ibaka, Adams, McGary and eventually Pleiss learning from them? What is not to love? Presti is building a rock solid PF/C core for the whole decade. Hope this push for Gasol concretizes.

Don't know about his #'s but his form is encouraging, from highlights. Took and made a few pull up jumpers too.

If there's one rookie in summer league that has made me turn my head it's Mitch McGary. He looks so natural out there both in terms of feel and confidence, doesn't have those rookie hesitations that guys like Wiggins, Parker, and Gordon have faced so far, he's made all the right moves for the most part.

Presti looks like he got himself another steal.

McGary looked a lot better then I remembered. A player missing a year can have that effect. Out of sigh out of mind. Ibaka, Adams, McGary and Pleiss can be a nice group of big men going forward after Collison retires and Perkins is gone or buried on the bench on a league minimum contract.

I have been saying the same thing. Don't know if Brooks will trust him to do that in actual games but if that could translate to the regular season it could be nice. Having a true PF who can rebound and then just turn and push it on the break rather than needing to look for an outlet pass creates lots of opportunities in transition because most defenses aren't used to seeing that.
