Bird mentioned him as a free agent we need to work on, while neglecting to mention Evan.
However, I doubt we're going to extend a qualifying offer of $3.8m to make Lavoy a restricted free agent. The risk that he signs the QO is simply too high, and that would put us in an awful position to re-sign Lance. We'd like to keep him, and we'll probably be honest and honorable in terms of letting him solicit any offers with no restrictions from us. We'll keep a dialogue open in hopes of keeping him, though, I'm sure.
