Bennett will surprise people. When healthy and in shape, he showed flashes of his true self. In fact, I think by the end of the year he will be a starter (barring a trade).

I agree. But Raptor posters really believe in Wiggins compared to Tristan/Bennett.

Well obviously, Wiggins is once a decade talent, Tristan/Bennett are draft reaches.

I wish you guys had taken Valanciunas in 2011 and still won the lottery this year and last. Imagine a core of Irving, Wiggins, and Jonas. That's a guaranteed dynasty right there. I feel his talents are going to go to waste in Toronto. :( Those talents would also go to waste in Cleveland had you not hired Blatt though. :P

Dynasty is still possible.

Jonas is every bit as good as Drummond. He might not have the defensive instincts or athleticism of Drummond, but he's got much more potential on the offensive end (Buford offered Parker for him on draft day, so this isn't just the homer in me talking). He was also taken right under your noses. Drummond was passed on by four other eams after you guys picked, which should alleviate some of the sting. Both guys would look better than TT or Waiters on this team right now.

Tony Parker, not Jabari (unless Buford is secretly managing the Bucks now ;)).

Tony Parker was reportedly offered in 2011 for our pick.

Oh the draft day 3 years ago, my bad wasn't really thinking.

Jonas on Spurs would be completely different level than Jonas we see in Toronto, even though Spurs probably just wanted to pick Kawhi 5th.

Either way, dumb for Raps not to do it.

Sure, everyone is about Drummond now. If I recall, the thinking on him that year was that he was:

1) Lazy.
2) Lacked fire.
3) Low basketball IQ.
4) Poor fundamentals.

Those are very legitimate reasons to take a pass. Then again, you can't teach size or athleticism.

Not gonna' say I would have passed him over, but I can see why Grant did.

i think he also fell in love with drafting a sg when everyone fell in love with Beal, but Waiters ended up being terrific also, so it's not the worst pick ever.

Better than TRob or Harrison which everyone wanted us to pick.

or MKG for that matter.

Beal was their guy. He fits perfectly with Irving. And they would have had him too if it weren't for those meddling Wizards!

But yes, Jordan screwed us. Again.
