It's #38! He might make it but it's not likely. Hope he does but our plans wouldn't have changed one bit simply because we drafted him

That's it. All the pick signaled is that the new Pistons staff will prefer skill and character over raw athleticism. If Dumars was making the pick, it likely would have been GR3 because he can jump high.

Billups and Siva likely won't be back next season and Bynum is sub par at best so that's not surprising to here. We need help at PG, SG and SF.

Jennings is bad enough that SVG will need someone he can count on in critical situations. Didnt Jameer Nelson opt out? This could be where hes headed with that. Or maybe we go after Mills.

Because none of our point guards are 3-point shooters, which makes running the pick and roll a lot more difficult on the roller (Drummond), as the defense just clogs the paint to stop him.

Billups' team option isn't getting picked up. Siva's contract is non-guaranteed, and it's highly likely he's gone if he doesn't display a massive shooting improvement at summer league. Bynum is on an expiring deal that is relatively cheap, so he very well could be used to grease a trade deal.

I'd wager that SVG is hoping that Jameer Nelson is released by the Magic and he can pick him up for a pretty low price and already have a veteran PG who's familiar with how SVG runs a team.

there's a team option on this upcoming year. with the Magic getting Payton, it seems increasingly likely that they will drop him.
