Who are these clowns 1250 hires?

I'll take that flying cat in Ayt's post over Drew.

I wonder how he will be with our youth movement.

The thread on the Brooklyn board is funny. The guy posted about it on Thursday.

The problem I would have with this is that the article said Kidd is friends with one of the owners. If they hire him to run the front office, that seems a little too much like how Herb liked to run things, by hiring cronies.

If it's just as president of basketball operations, I guess I'd be fine with that (not knowing how he'd be). Personally I'd rather have a guy with experience in that dept. But as coach, or duel roles, no thanks.

Didn't he want both roles tho in Brooklyn?

tbf, I don't think this means he'd get full control here just that he's unhappy in Brooklyn.

Kind of surprised by such a negative reaction, he sure beats Larry Drew. Brooklyn's problems had more to do with the construction of the team than it's coaching.

He'd be a big name and good public face of the team in our push for a new arena.

the main problem I have is that I think we'd have to compensate Brooklyn with a draft pick or something.

Wasn't there something posted recently about the owners looking for a POBO with no basketball connections? This would kind of be the exact opposite of that.

At least our owners go big. Kidd is a big name and would sell tickets I would presume.

I just don't see him as a good HC and have no reason what so ever to give him a present role. With that said, if our owners actually did this, I would give them the benefit the doubt.

The one thing that I do know is that Drew is not the HC I want coaching the Bucks.

I don't see this actually happening.

Because that's how you make basketball decisions right? Selling tickets. The Indiana Pacers essentially traded Kawhi Leonard for George Hill because Hill was from Indiana and it'd be great for the fans. One of those guys just won Finals MVP and the other disappeared on a disappointing playoff team.

Seriously, if this ends up happening, all of the new-owner good will just vanishes for me. You could give me a thousand guesses at who the new owners would tab to oversee BO for this rebuild and Jason Kidd would never even come close to crossing my mind.

The more I think about it I think this would actually be awesome (assuming he's a coach and not more than that). Even if he ends up sucking, a Hall of Fame player around here as coach for a few years would draw some attention at least.

All in on Jason Kidd and Mirza Teletovic in a package deal. Bring Todd McCullough & Uncle Cliff Robinson aboard as assistants.

So he wants to leave coaching entirely? I don't get this story I guess. If we'd be hiring him as just POBO then I don't really get it. Surely there's more qualified guys out there for that position.

Wow, this caught me off guard, but I'm excited. In the very least, it means we're looking at potentially replacing Drew.

Kidd was actually a good coach last year. Him going from being a laughing stock to an actual quality coach shows he takes his criticisms and attempts to correct his negatives instantly.
