If you're going to hire someone from that draft class as a president of basketball ops...

HIRE GRANT HILL..

Jason Kidd is a grating asswipe that will wreck the good culture they are starting to build here.

Some Nets site, it was pure speculation.

Let's think about this.

a) Jason Kidd has zero experience as a front office guy and now we maybe pay the Nets $$, players or a draft pick for him?

b) Everything we've seen in Jason Kidd's personal and professional life FOR 20 YEARS tells you that he's volatile as hell in addition to not being a particularly high character guy. You guys thought Scott Skiles was nuts? This is the new Scott Skiles you guys. He's going to emotionally run through players by the month. Do you guys really think this is the best mentor we can get for Jabari Parker and Giannis?

c) If this is true, our new owners allowed Hammond and Drew to participate in multiple big time public promotional events the past 48-hours while at the same time planning to bring in Jason Kidd (?) to replace them one day later. That's horrible management on many counts.

Again, Edens needs to take the wheel away from Lasry for a moment and talk some sense into him. I might allow Kidd to coach if I had a strong GM already in place that felt he was the best candidate. But POBO?

If we have to hire an ex-player that Lasry is friends with, give me David Robinson 20 times out of 20.

No, zero interest. Do not want. And throw in draft picks?? Please no.

I tired quickly of watching Kidd continue to diagram isolation hero ball plays for entire fourth quarters of Net playoff games.

Just say no.

There are other, better options!

If this includes a pick the owners have already blown it.

Has to be Ersan.

We can't trade any players while acquiring Kidd. We can only trade picks and cash.

I could easily see the Nets refuse to fire Kidd right now and either force the Bucks hands or waiting till the Bucks hire a front office and then firing him. Their owner has the bigger inseam and would do anything short of sabotaging his own team to make Kidds life miserable.

I'm going to assume Lasry and Edens aren't dumb enough to give up a 1st round pick, there would be no defending that.

No, Paschke is good. The problem is the restrictions he's confined to.

I'm sure it won't happen, but I would love for the new owners to give him a leash to share his true thoughts without any repercussions.

This is the last clown I want Jabari and Giannis around. Hoping like hell it falls through.

Ok, if they moved a 1st round pick I then would jump off the cliff.

If we lose Hammond, does that mean we lose BuckPack too?!

i could be possibly down with kidd just as coach or just as POBO, but not both. and i wouldn't worry about drew staying, kidd would can him almost assuredly.

that said, this is why God invented alcohol. just gotta drink/wait this out.

I don't see us giving up a first round pick. I just don't. These owners are smart. That would hurt our development.

The news that Kidd will be POBO instead of Head coach is a bummer.

I don't mind compensating them with OJ Mayo. That is the only guy I want to unload right now. I believe Ersan has a higher value come trade deadline next year to scoop up a 1st rounder.

I'm hoping Lasry responds to the request for a pick like to this:

"Uh, Billy -- you can have my answer now if you like. My offer is this -- nothing. Not even the cost of the plane ticket to Milwaukee, which I would appreciate if you would put up personally."

Then, just frame him for murdering a hooker and we're set.

Yes, L and E, bring in an old buddy (i.e., crony) who undoubtably will be just like Isaiah Thomas (impulsive, dumb egomaniac) and who won't care if he runs a small market franchise into the ground. Oh yeah, he'd probably want to win now and would trade picks for vets. **** this.

I would tend to agree with you if the info received was accurate and fully digested. My mob mentality statement was directed at the swinging of emotions/reactions as information changes and evolves...a lot of jumping to conclusions.
