Even if he hires them, listening to their advice is another story.

He may not coach...he want to be in charge of the org.

I just highly doubt it actually happens.

The best part is nobody actually knows how he will function as head of Operations, but it sure as hell can't be worse than Hammond.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Wow...

First of all, you cut out the second part of the post which tempered the quoted statement. If you put the two together, the original post is attempting to dig deeper than the mob outrage you are painting me with by your cut and paste job.

Secondly, if it is true (and none of us know at this point) that Kidd made a power play for more money and power in Brooklyn Thursday, lost, and is now in negotiations to run the Bucks, then the quoted statement above (which in context I wasn't really even subscribing to) is not really worthy of your sarcastic haz-mat suit treatment..

I was trying to generate a deeper discussion about the timeline and thought Lasry and Edens are operating with here. Save your slanting and partial quoting for the next round of election year commercials.

@WojYahooNBA: Realistic compensation for Bucks to deliver Nets: "Bunch of second-round picks," one source says. No doubt Nets pursuing a first-rounder.

The manner of this Brooklyn exit also has hints of collusion with Lasry...this just seems almost unbelievably crazy to me. Reality is often more strange than fiction though.

Wait, so a 10x nba allstar, 5x nba leader in assists, and an nba champion (with the list going on...) is someone you don't want helping coach the players on your team? Specifically, the team that just had the worst record in the league, let alone in franchise history. I'm confused

It wouldn't be a bucks trade without 2nd round picks.

I'd be okay with bringing in Kidd as coach. Drew sucks. But no way should he be given the reigns of the front office too. If you're going to clean house, bring in an assistant GM who deserves a crack at building a contender.

Don't forget upstanding citizen and world class human being. Also, a great coach.

If we really wanted Kidd, why wouldn't we just wait for him to be fired ? I'm not giving up anything for a 1 year head coach with zero experience in running a franchise.

I still feel like it's common sense to wait a week for Brooklyn to fire Kidd, and then hire him without giving up any compensation, but if we're going to give up anything, I can live with a couple 2nds. As long as we don't give up a 1st round pick. I don't even care if it's a protected first. I would still be furious.

You keep Hammond. People like Hammond.
