Interesting analysis on why Kidd is more qualified to lead an organization. Please explain how being able to dribble a basketball makes him better suited to run a team than someone who has experience already running a company.

Those sub 500 SAT scores by Kidd really make me feel better when he has to negotiate and compete and out think the Morey's and Hinkie's of the world. Or, maybe you like Kidd's history of poor work ethic as a coach where he regularly was late for various functions. We sure wouldn't want a hard worker to lead the team

Nets fan here. As pissed and disgusted as I am about this whole thing, I will admit Kidd worked hard as a coach. The public eye around the league and media didn't want to give him any credit while everyone else would rather make fun of him but the reality is he certainly knows basketball and he has potential to be very good down the road at this.

He recruited Shaun Livingston personally as his pet project and turned him into a terrific two way shooting guard. He wanted Mason Plumlee while the Nets originally planned to assign him to the D-League for the majority of the season but Kidd wanted him on the main roster and Plumlee finished the season 4th in Rookie Of The Year voting, Mirza Teletovic had a breakout season after being misused by the last two coaches and Joe Johnson had his best season of his playoff career. He recruited Kirilenko, Pierce, Garnett, among others singlehandedly.

He can definitely bring good qualities to the Bucks. His player development ability is pretty good but from a personal/character standpoint, he is simply a disloyal tool. Which is ironic because he "prides" himself on coaching unselfish high IQ players.

The biggest concern with a position of power is his ability to ruin something for his own agenda or stubborn attitude. If he is strictly the President of Operations, there is no guarantee he won't fire his own hand picked coach whenever he feels bored of sitting at a disk doing executive work. Reguardless if that coach is doing a good job or not.

I live in Jersey and witnessed the Nets' transformation this past season. it was honestly nothing short of remarkable. Plumlee's ascent was incredible. Teletovic became a legitimate weapon. It was an amazing turnaround. Not to mention, winning game 7 in Toronto was a hell of a feat.

I think the general consensus is people are fine w/ Kidd as a HC. But, for obvious reasons, there are grave concerns about any other position in the organization - a lack of any experience; his fairly horrendous track record of people skills; his reputation of a Mt. Fiji sized ego etc.. None of these qualities appear to trend well for leadership of an organization. I share these same concerns. And, at the same time, this whole ordeal is highly entertaining and I have a complete understanding that is why I love professional basketball.

Yes, there may occasionally be a Bill Bradley/Rhode Scholar type player in the NBA but those are by far the exception. If any proof exists, that Kidd is some brilliant mind, feel free to share any. Interestingly, we do know his SAT scores. Here is what he scored on his FOUR tries

670
540
630
480

do you realize how stupid you have to be to make scores like this? I mean like borderlike mentally handicapped.... unbelieveable.

F*ck it, I'd roll with it.

I mean why not? We've got nothing to lose here. I'd rather this organisation make a bold, risky move than a 'safe bet' like the previous regime has for the last few decades. F*ck that, let's see what Kidd can do.

Both sides want a quick resolution to this, but its grown very complicated. Bucks ownership believes it has all the leverage. (@NetsDaily)

That's probably the only cool thing that will come out of this. Everyone around the league will learn to not **** around with our new ownership. We aren't to be "bullied" anymore.

Yeah Nets can take a hike if they think they can get easy compensation for a coach interested in leaving the organization. New Jersey needs to meet his demands if they don't want to loose him for next to nothing.

Maybe it's risky letting Kidd have so much power but as others stated, Kidd probably jst wants a GM that makes reasonable decisions and doesn't make frequent debaucheries as many other GMs have.

Could be a big pay off as he seems to have great potential, which for coaching candidates for NBA there seems to be slim pickings.

It's hilarious that some back this just because Kidd was a great player. So were Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas. It has no **** bearing on anything. He has done nothing to earn this role, and players don't like the guy. Oh yeah, and he's a piece of ****. Let's give up a bunch of 2nd rounders to get this done!!!!

This gets done guarantee the first thing WSSP talks about is how the Bucks should've drafted Kidd over Big Dog in 1994.

I'm just going to say once more: tenure as a player in the NBA is 100% irrelevant when evaluating a candidates worthiness as POBO.

It's possible Kidd values high-IQ players as POBO as much as he did as HC. Still a hell of a gamble being made by an ownership group with zero NBA experience.

This is all a show for the casuals, me thinks. L&E know they already have the hardcore fans hooked, now they need more eyes on them when it comes time to talk new arena.
