Funny thing is Nets fans feel the opposite.

Sanders rep around the league has taken a big hit from Woelfel's bogus rehab blurb and other assorted random hit pieces. We know the truth.

Let's get this straight. Sanders rep around the league has taken a big hit because of his own actions. That's the truth. He's viewed as a pretty big time risk. Not because of Woelfel but because of Larry sanders.

Kidd is selling Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry, a close friend and past financial partner, on giving him a lucrative package to do what the Nets have refused: Give Kidd full control of basketball operations. For an NBA figure with such a damaged personal reputation – never mind no front-office experience – the possibility of Kidd being afforded this kind of power and responsibility is being met with downright mockery among NBA owners and executives.

Cool job, Lasry. We were bad before but I don't know that the team was ever quite at the level of mockery.

I don't like this at all. Can we get permission to talk to someone who knows what he's doing? How long is Donnie Nelson's contract? Give him full control.

I mean at this point why not also make him the starting PG? POBO, GM, Coach and lead the team on the floor. I mean he is a HOFer

I think I'm as qualified to run a front office as Jason Kidd, and anybody who's in my fantasy league knows I've been horrible lately.

Why not? Kidd is a guy that is well known and respected as a HOF player, it will get the attention of all those casual sports fans that "don't care" about the Bucks and say **** like "I'd rather have an NHL team" of which there is a lot of in this state. The Brewers were held in a similar regard by a lot of these same folks not too long ago. Whether you agree with it or not, Kidd would lend credibility in the eyes of a lot of people and that may the difference in getting this arena deal.

I actually think it could hurt the arena push...maybe not significantly...but the Midwest and WI is different that NY. There will be a number of people not happy about an alleged WIfe beater and drunk driver running the team asking for cash.

A number of NBA writers I respect are killing the Bucks for even thinking about this.

Aschburner goes to town in this piece he just posted.

Casual fans do not care about Jason Kidd. Nobody is buying Jason Kidd's shoes, or calling out his name on the playground. Not only that, but even if they did, that alone is not changing anyone's mind. No coaching hire short of Phil Jackson or something else unattainable would have that kind of impact on the future of the team.

First, the Bucks are full-up, their front office and coaching jobs staffed by highly competent individuals.

I have hope that Lasry and Edens are tuned in enough to see the backlash to this idea and pull back.

While I'm not for Kidd coming here, that article lost all credibility when it said the Bucks front office is staffed with highly qualified individuals.
