Atlanta NEEDS TO GET Pierce and Livingston!

Post#1 » by atlantabbq99 » Sun Jun 29, 2014 7:27 am

The Hawks should and need to throw the bank at Paul Pierce, Shaun Livingston, and Andray Blatche!

Pierce will fill that need the Hawks have for a SF/SG who can hit 3s and has playoff experience to carry a team.

Livingston and Teague could be a great backcourt and give Teague the opportunity to play some SG

Blatche is a stretch 7 footer who you can pair with Horford.

The Hawks need to target these guys and give them huge short term contracts (like Millsap's contract or David West's contract), because as i understand it, the Hawks CAN SWAP PICKS WITH THE NETS IN 2015????!

If the Hawks steal these three players, the Nets will still be 20 million over the cap and won't be able to sign anybody except for the three 2nd rounders they got

Like the enthusiasm and the thought, but I don't think we'll have the roster spots to bring in the 2 guys so forth 3...

We should trade Louis, but the most important is that we get Pierce. I don't think their will be serious offers for Pierce, so his only option right now is just the Nets. If the Hawks make an offer, i think we have a good then better shot.

As for Livingston, we probably won't need to get him, i think another team will make an offer that the Nets can't beat.

As for Blatche, i think its 50/50. A contender might make an offer for him.

I wouldn't mind pierce but he's going to the clippers IMO. One last hurrah for doc and he fits them well.

Blatche I like but not anymore since we drafted Payne and blatche will prob get decent money.

Livingston I wouldn't mind.

We need sf and SG but mostly sf

If Garnett decides it’s time to stop, Pierce is bound to be intrigued even more by the scenario that is said to be on his radar already: Reuniting with Doc Rivers in Clipperland in what would also be a homecoming for the Los Angeles native.

I'd be okay with pursuing Livington as a combo guard off the bench. A player of his stature and skill set could be a real boon in the playoffs should we come across John Wall, Joe Johnson, DeRozan, D-Rose or any other scoring guard our back court might be unable to defend.

I'd place Blatche as a higher priority over Pierce. And think Evan Turner would be a better fit, anyway.

Livingston’s decision to sign with the Nets for the veteran’s minimum last summer was largely tied to his relationship with Kidd, a source confirmed to Boone. Since Brooklyn is a taxpaying team and only own Livingston’s Non-Bird Rights, the Nets will only be able to offer him a contract with a starting salary of $3.278MM. After resurrecting his career last season, Livingston could likely grab a higher payday somewhere else.

Pierce would chase a ring or go and retire a Celtic imo
