Can't see us making any roster changes this summer now that Daye's deal is guaranteed.

Seems a strange move considering who we got in the draft. I thought for sure he was gone. Must have impressed the right people.
Well hopefully he has come along working with the Spurs. Always nice to have a 6'10 shooter

My feeling was he makes a good practise player, with those long arms. Not good in real games, but in the informal environment of a practise he's probably an useful guy to throw at guys on D.

I think you're mistaken Nolan.. All the reports im reading says spurs have until july 1st to cut him loose and if they do, they only pay him 250k. His contract has not beem guaranteed yet.

I expect spurs to let him go though. With kyle anderson, diaw, patty, and baynes becoming rfa, thay puts us at 14 players. History says spurs always keep a roster spot open. Im hoping we use the extra spot with our mle. But please let daye go.

That's from Spears

While the Spurs have until midnight to decide, they are not expected to waive forward Austin Daye, a source told Yahoo

If he stays, I think Bonner is gone.
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

Looks like McDonald got the date wrong but either way it doesn't look like we're going to waive him.

Yup that sucks.. To me, that confirms Bonner or Baynes will be gone. Atleast Baynes and Bonner had a use in the playoffs. Daye doesn't and it certainly looks like he won't be of any use next year too. I really hope he bulks up a little and able to play as a stretch PF. He's way too slow as a SF and too light as a PF. Not asking him to bulk up much, but atleast be more like Rashard Lewis.
