Guys, I understand we have differing viewpoints on here but there's no need to sling mud at each other. Just sayin'.

Even setting aside the domestic issues or DUI, trying to take control of a team a year after they hired you for a position you were way unqualified for and then forcing your way out when you don't get your wish is a scumbag move.

what if the people above you were ****ing idiots?

I don't know. What if?

When a Russian billionaire, politician, industrialist and financier and sometime-candidate for President of Russia finds an employee's openly Machiavellian actions to be too unsubtle, power-hungry and aggressive to comfortably ignore, probly not a good sign. Not on Kidd's moves; not on yer hoped-for idiot-quotient. Just sayin'.

I'm not saying he's an angel, but clearly Kidd had a ton of respect in the league. Doesn't mean he was loved I suppose, but definitely teammates listened to him.

Who cares? that pretty much killed our entire season. When your best player tanks the season coming off a playoff year, wont play, fakes an injury, then demands his way out of town that is an issue.

it isnt just magloire either. he had some run ins with kittles, lusicous harris, and aaron williams as well. not to mention every coach he played with here.

I can understand seperating off court personal issues.... but oncourt/team issue is another story. thats part of being a player. Kidd has always been a snake. he is great when things are going well and you stroke his ego. but his persona couldnt match his game any less. he is really selfish and needs things done and catered to him or he is bolting and causing issues.

he is arguably the best player in franchise history, yet half of nets fans hate the guy

That is a work of art. Evokes an emotional response... and I think it says quite a few more than 1000 words.... Get your season tickets now before the prices increase drastically.

That is quite the trifecta of suck. Quite possibly the worst case scenario I could possibly drum up.

How is it possible that you are always so wrong on everything? It honestly terrifies me that you're so high on Parker, although you're bound to finally hit on some prediction you throw out there.

As AussieBuck said a couple days back, the new owners lost a ton of points from me when they didn't clean house the day they took over. PP25 promised us L&E were gonna hire a GM that would make Morey look like a dolt (and I would've bet money on that too).

Off to a rocky start so far.

Anderson actually played really well for us at times. and its hard to really get a solid rotation with the injuries/minutes restrictions we had.

Pierce was limited minutes wise and battled an injury in december and was then moved to PF. kirilenko missed half of the season. Terry was useless prior to moving him for thornton. we really didnt have many options at SF.

Anderson was excellent during our 10-1 streak in january when dwill went down. he played really well at times. he is 8th-9th man though, you cant expect consistency out of him. i LOVED what anderson gave us. i'm sad he may not be back.

It isnt easy to find a vet min player who can be moved between DNPs, minor minutes, big minutes, and starter -- not make a peep, play hard, and give you some quality games.

Fair enough, especially on the vet min part. Having to rely on that for heavy minutes is a really poor recipe. He just seems like one of the worst passing guards I can ever remember (either because he can't or because he won't), and his shoot is nowhere good enough to compensate. On a team that needed ball movement it seemed pretty obvious Livingston should have taken as many of his minutes as possible, at least in the playoffs (instead of playing 27 / 21 mpg respectively).

This board has become chaotic in the last 12-15 hours.

Because panic has set in.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

I am not a fan of Kidd or how this stuff is going down with the Bucks and Nets. But the new owners have 100% of my trust, and they still will have it even if they make mistakes and things don't work out with players, coaches and so on. I don't expect to win a championship next year or the year after that. But I feel it could happen in the next 10 years and that is something I never would of said last year.

Nope, I'm not getting drug into it. While there is great banter back and forth with informed stances there are also like bizarro said mud slinging and baiting that goes beyond good order discussion.

Also said he believes Brooklyn will push for more than just 2nd round picks, but that he believes it'll probably end up just being 2nd rounders.

At least that's the gist I got from what he said. Still hoping we simply give up the Brooklyn 2nd round pick and maybe some cash and call their bluff.

I'm in favor of this move. Kidd demanded control of personal moves from the incompetent Billy King. Who wouldn't have done the same thing? He tried trading Lopez for Sanders because he saw Lopez as a black hole no defense center. I'm totally on board with this.

I'm fine with taking on Kidd as POBO as long as the compensation is nothing more then 1 or 2 2nd's or cash. I fully expect Hammond and Drew to be gone within days if Kidd comes onboard.

I have faith that the owners will keep our 1st's after they spoke of it during the sale of the team.
