If Kidd does come here, that first press conference is gonna be very interesting.

This is all fascinating and kind of funny to me because we're literally only 24hrs in from when this story broke. The speed at which this is all taking place is extraordinary. This came completely out of nowhere.

Yeah, I actually though about this as I would think about my dad for example. I saw Alex Lasry retweet Ford's analisis on the bucks draft and the A he gave. I if was me I would be kind of proud of my dad and I would do the same, and I would pass a lot of time reading the opinions on the net about the "toy" my father just bought.

If almost a day or 2 after I would read some of the things about this process I wouldn't feel so good, yeah they are more than cappable to make that decisions are more experienced than me or anyone else I know to deal with bad press... But...

Gaining respect from the league and the media is done by creating and running a team the correct way and not by undergoing a knee jerk signing in hopes of getting the recognition all at once.

We drafted perhaps the 2 best players in the last 2 drafts. We are cleaning house of meddlers and underlings. Don't throw it all away from the quick grab at recognition. Become the Spurs not the Nets.

I want this to be true so Kidd trades Jabari for Exum and JayMKE's head explodes.

Yeah no Quiznos here. Although the really big chains like Mac, KFC, Burger king, pizza hut and etc in terms of Subs we already had here some local chains that are more implemented and stronger. Even Subways have a lot of trouble to deal with them

I'm hearing that Jason Kidd is only being considered by the Bucks as the coach. He was never considered for President of Basketball Ops.

I'd be fine with Kidd as Coach, just not in the front office. Hope that is true.

NetsDaily: #Nets are resolute in their pursuit of a first round pick as compensation for Jason Kidd joining the Bucks.

I wouldn't let them have a single pick. Let Kidd go back to NJ and see if he can mend those fences. Of course they're going to fire him.

Lasry's apparent desire to bring Kidd into the Bucks' new fold led to the power play in Brooklyn, with two people with knowledge of the Nets' situation saying that team officials thought Kidd already had the Milwaukee job in hand before asking for the promotion. The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the process.

Well that sucks if that's true.

Kidd is certainly an upgrade at coach over Drew. Much better news than him being considered for a POBO position.

What makes you think they would make this move in the hopes of getting recognition rather than them thinking Kidd would actually be good at the job?

That would make me feel much better. Regardless, I stand by the "As long as it's not a 1st round pick and nothing more than 1 or 2 2nd round picks, I'll be okay with this" statement from earlier.

Yep, no way do we give them a first rounder for a coach while going through a rebuild. Not unless it is us prying Pop out of San Antonio.

The statement was more in response to the poster's stance that it would give us recognition around the league and turn the thought process of Milwaukee in the media. If Lasry and Edens are convinced that Kidd is the second coming, then bring him in. I hope that it is not in hope of gaining recognition around the league.

Guys, we're not going to give them a first rounder. Don't know why/how you guys thought they would.

Yeah, if they're really that set on a 1st round pick, I pray that Lasry is smart enough to just walk away and call their bluff.

Now that make sense to me. Just because he tried and failed to get the POBO in NJ doesn't automatically mean he'd get that here. He tried, failed, and pissed people off with his power move. Now he's looking to a friend for a job.
