Lasry leaked that the Bucks were interested in Kidd as POBO because only hiring him as HC makes every enthused by comparison. Brilliant.

I just hope we don't give up a 1st round pick for him. Nets seem to be adamant about getting one and I'd be incredibly upset if we gave that type of compensation up for Kidd.

In a crazy twist, it is rumored in several outlets Kidd is demanding Lawrence Frank be included in the deal. And, it is Frank's inclusion that is provoking the consistent demand of the 1st round picks. :reporter:

I would bet the owners didn't expect the story would come out like this. I would bet they already talked with a LOT of people for positions but still didn't deal with Hammond/Morway/Drew and they would but this leaked early than expected. The fact that Hammond didn't knew anything maybe proves that we will have a new Gm and it was supposed to be intruduced before/at the same time as kidd.

And when this come out since the FO didn't knew and because he was asking for a POBO role with the nets people thought he was coming here as a POBO too

I was surprised that Lasry and Edens weren't in Milwaukee on Friday for the Jabari press conference. This makes sense now why they were still in NY. Thank god it's only for coach.

Are our owners really that business smart knowing if kidd asked for more control the russians would fire him? If so, I got to give it up to our owners.

Hell, many of the best posters on here are dicks, and many of the genuinely nice guys don't know ****.

I want to play! Am I a dick or a fool? :D

So is Gardner still considered a Buck's mouthpiece now that Kohl is gone? Or is he getting his info from RealGM now like everyone else?

He probably follows Buenning... that's his method of spreading information broken by someone else on twitter, no re-tweet, just "a/one of my league source(s)" says :rehash:.

I don't think there is a reality show out there that is as drama filled as the Bucks this past year.

Gardner is infamous for not saying anything not directly fed to him from the organization.

It'd be sweet if he kept Cleamons around as well but if Jackson is looking to take him away, then there might be little that can be done to keep him here, unless he really values the players being brought in and the new out look with the ownership change, etc.

As much as Larry Drew is a terrible coach, this pretty un professional of us to do this to him.

Kidd as a coach is much more palatable. (Not really saying much Kidd as POBO was an insane idea.)

Pros:
Understands the importance of defense particularly in bigs.
Understands the importance of spacing, vital to the modern game.
Will be unlikely to look on Brandon Knight as the guy he needs to build the team around.
As per the last point he isn't Larry Drew.

Cons:
Is a Scott Skiles like terrible person who will burn out after a while, possibly spectacularly.

This situation is so odd, yet I'm excited to see what will happen next. I'm good with Kidd as a coach, would have been iffy about POBO but I'm glad I don't have to worry about that :)

Could've been interesting as the NBA's representative for "the Organization" for last season.

I would be fine with Kidd as head coach.

I will be irate if we give up a 1st round pick. It would rival any of the idiotic moves made under the Kohl ear.

So our owners are the dudes making the call on the head coach.

Great.
