The fact we even have to give a second annoys me. But I just don't think he's that great of a coach. Did the players even like the guy in Brooklyn?

Kidd wanting to trade Brook Lopez for Larry and Ersan makes me like him more than I did but we better have a POBO and/or GM lined up already if L&E are trying to make this hire themselves

A number of things IMO, Drew should be let go if you want to replace him, classy thing to do...why the hell hire a coach first before you hire POBO and he can hire a GM. By hiring a coach first, you basically take all power away from the GM, when the coach and GM disagree, you are basically saying you are siding with the coach, this is a stupid business model. I really thought these two were going to hire a POBO and they would align on GM and coach. End of the day it may end up that way, especially if compensation isn't agreed upon, this all could have been avoided.

Drew is the last guy I'm worried about. Not that I have anything personal against Drew, but he's getting paid regardless and will not be unemployed for long. He'll wind up on somebody's staff with two salaries. Poor guy.

If Kidd takes Giannis and Inglis to PG school, it's an interesting idea. Hopefully the latter's handles get tight enough to run PnR.

Should be good for Wolters, too.

Kidd used Kirilenko well, too. And wasn't afraid to go small.

And Kidd isn't Drew. So... cautious optimism?

The real question is why the Nets would give him permission to talk to us if they were not willing to risk all this **** hitting the fan. It seems like a bad move on their part more than anything.

He also wasn't afraid to take the ball out of the "star" Deron Williams hands and put it into Livingstons as well as playing a young guy like Plumlee.

One thing I have to hand to the new owners is, they sure seem to be able to convince people to come here.

First Jabari and now Jason Kidd are rumored to have basically forced their way to Milwaukee to the total surprise of all the analysts and ESPN guys who probably occasionally forget we have a team.

That is definitely new.

Nobody should be freaking out over him just coaching, he's at least a decent coach that is as good or better than Drew. You can give him that at least right?

I actually love bringing in Kidd, provided it is as coach, and only costs a 2nd rounder. If I were Morway and Hammond, I would be a little nervous with how this all shook out.
