So he didn't ask for more control, it was just a raise? Okay, I guess I don't really care either way.

The point is we don't know what the problem is with Kidd and the Nets beyond what has been leaked by the Nets to the NY media yet people here are gobbling it up as gospel that he made a huge power play and got rebuffed. People are even entertaining the idea that we actually offered him the power he wanted in Brooklyn, saw the backlash of that decision, and are now going to instead name him coach but still essentially grant him the powers of a POBO. W in tha F?

I really thought that we had some smart owners. I was convinced. That didn't last very long. I wanted Drew gone badly. I just didn't expect them to find themselves in a worse situation while doing it. That is impressively bad.

"His minutes distribution is troubling. His rotations can be puzzling at times."

We just came off a season where Larry Drew was coaching for his job. Ersan started multiple games at SF. There is no way Kidd could be worse.

What's the difference between Gery Woeful and a glass of mineral water? The mineral water actually has a source

Kidd has an ownership stake in the Nets, wonder what happens to that and whether or not he'd be interested in investing with the Bucks...

Pros:
Small-ball motion offense. Best comparison: current Atlanta Hawks offense philosophy.

He might throw the ball into Parker in the post and put shooters around him instead of the Carmelo comparison.

Defensively, he preaches switching and trapping. Best comparison: Memphis Grizzlies defense philosophy.

The Nets were 2nd in points off turnovers behind Miami and 4th in steals per game.

I would expect him to use a lineup of Wolters, Knight, Giannis, Parker, Sanders.

The Cons:

-He doesn't preach rebounding.
-His minutes distribution is troubling. His rotations can be puzzling at times.

-He is a believer in "vets" Jason Terry was his guilty pleasure and Terry was horrible. Kidd still kept using him until he was finally traded. He began to do the samething with Alan Anderson.

-Relys too much on iso hero ball when the game is on the line. I expect him to give alot of Isolation plays for Parker at end of game situations.

Any news out of BKN, is this a done deal?

Nets want this resolved quickly but they are far apart on a deal.

How?

They didn't fire their existing coach before going after the coach of another team.

I understand wanting to give the new guys the benefit of the doubt, but wake the **** up.

At the very least it sounds like we'll know what's going on sooner rather than later.

Thanks for your input.

I find this interesting for a guy who, at 6-4, led the Nets in rebounding for four straight seasons.

Great. Hammond is going to give them a 1st round pick and OJ Mayo, and then congratulate himself for unloading Mayo.

At least we would finally get Joe Johnson.

Only a year late for 'bone.

I love that refreshing this thread gives me another 20 pages to still not know what's going on...
