KINGS & PISTONS...McLEMORE?

Could the Pistons and Kings revisit talks about trading Smith? Would you be stoked if Pistons was able to get Ben McLemore?

I don't view McLemore as a significantly better (or worse) prospect than KCP.

I'd be much more interested in Stauskus. Whether that's a reality or not, I think he will be the better pro, despite lacking McLemore's athleticism.

I like KCP more than McLemore, but if he can be had than definitely.

i just don't see the point of acquiring mclemore when we already have KCP. While there is nothing wrong with having 2 highly talented SG's, i'd rather use mclmore to acquire a SF. Which would make more sense.

I'd like both to see who develops... Isn't it better to have 2 lottery tickets than one? LOL

Do it. We can always trade KCP or McLemore for a SF

Pretty much a 'no fact' article as the only source of this happening is from an ESPN writer who 'thinks' it could happen.

I like KCP. I really liked Ben McLemore last year coming into the draft. SG's take a little time to develop and I think McL will be a good one. I would definitely be more excited about acquiring a young piece like Ben than I would with a trash offer like Derrick Williams and Jason Thompson.

I like KCP for having defense that's already better than McL's and he's shown flashes of an outside shot too.

Ben's definitely more flashier/athletic, but sometimes that really doesn't mean much.

McLemore is off limits. However, Stauskus may be available.

MacLemore might be able to jump higher but I wouldn't say his more athletic. KCP is faster in the open court and a lot quicker laterally in addition to being bigger.

Yeah that would be amazing if if happened, There are suspicious signals that make it a possibility with the Kings drafting a SG over Vonleh and us just cutting off a deal with them, So who knows.

I'd love it if that happened. If Mclemore comes here, he will THRIVE under Stan Van Gundy just as much as Drummond and KCP will. I'm seriously in love with the Drummond and Van Gundy tandem. I'm so excited about this offseason and the season.

The Pistons are not getting McLemore in any Josh Smith trade with Sacramento, don't fool yourself. (unless the Pistons include KCP) The Kings are not giving up a lottery pick to acquire Josh and his awful contract.

You're underestimating how dumb the Kings org is. Trust me. They'll do something that stupid and think they struck gold.

I'd take that deal every day of the week and twice on Sunday. I'm pretty high on Stauskus, and didn't feel he was much of a reach at 8.

This quote from Pete D'Alessandro (Kings GM) is interesting:

"I think definitely we'd like to acquire perhaps another big - a shot blocker ... we may be active in trades. The great thing about the draft is you're so active, it's all this talking that doesn't actually happen, but trades happen in the second or third ripple," D'Alessandro said. "Draft day and trade deadline, those are fantastic for getting things done, but they're also fantastic for planting the seed to a future deal. I think we've had a number of discussions even today that maybe pan out and maybe don't, but I absolutely do think that those discussions are always very productive."

We've definitely got someone who fits that bill.

Smith would be nice next to cousins imo, come on kings you know you want to do it. Just give us either Stauskas or Mclemore, we will take one or two or your bad contracts with it.
