Clippers Prioritize Re-Signing Collison

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Jun 30, 2014 2:42 am

The Los Angeles Clippers have prioritized re-signing Darren Collison, who opted out of his contract early in the offseason.

"You know our first guy, I'll be honest, is one of our guys that opted out," Doc Rivers said. "He's a little guy. That's very important for us."

The Clippers are expected to reach out to Collison's representatives at the outset of free agency.

The Clippers are also expected to try to upgrade their small forward position and Rivers has been trying to trade Matt Barnes.

This is great show of loyalty by DOC but if he doesn't work out we need to explore other options.
Only thing zzzz is that 2014-15 Laker roster.

Fight fight fight ^^^^

Good idea but he can't take too much cap space. They need quality back up 4/5 badly.

It makes sense that he'd be a priority given Paul's injury history.
