Hi, another new member since yesterday. I`ve been drafted to Suns in 2008 (yes, I`m from Slovenia), but been lurking here even in the dark age when Goran was in Houston. I would also rather want to Suns win championship "their way", but have not been waiting for 40 or more years like some of you, so I`d probably learn to live with Lebron  . I just really hope that it doesn`t mean that Goran is gone next year.

Smart to establish your bona fides before Lebron signs. :)

Chris Broussard said on Mike & Mike Bosh is only willing to take a paycut down to 16m and Lebron wants max. Unless Wade takes a 50% paycut they don't have much room to improve the roster. It is Broussard though...

I just don't understand why Bosh and Wade would both opt out if they haven't already come to an agreement about an extension with each other.

I really hope he has his facts straight on this one. I at least want LeBron to meet with our FO. I doubt Wade will take a 50% pay cut; he's not worth the money he was making last year, but I doubt he'll take that big of a cut (well, hopefully he won't).

Come one come all Borch. We welcome fans from afar

Dragic became my Suns favorite when he single handedly stomped the Spurs in SanAnt. I still will watch that condensed performance on YouTube for gits and shiggles. I would be greatly disappointed if he EVER plays elsewhere... Nash, Stat and D'Ant brought my interest back, Dragic has maintained it. And yes, I go back 40, but want no part of controlling Superstars if they come at the expense of the Dragon.

Just how popular is GD in the motherland?

Wade is worth 8-9mil, maybe 11mil at max. Bosh is worth 13mil at max, unless of course the only way to sign Lebron is to also sign Bosh and his minimum is 16mil, then you pay Bosh 16mil.

Well, (and this is me totally guessing here) if they couldn't agree on pay cuts or what not, that most likely means LeBron would leave. And if LeBron left, I doubt Bosh would want to stay in Miami. So by all opting out they have two options: take pay cuts and stay, or they all have the ability to leave. Either way, opting out was the only way for it to be possible. Wishful thinking I guess.

You can take this as you wish to , but word around the league is that the Suns chances of getting Lebron is growing. Maybe from 0% to 12% . However it's still growing.

Thanks Frank. Dragon is certainly among 5 most popular athletes in Slovenia together with Kopitar from LA Kings and some athletes from winter sports (mostly skiing and ski-jumping). As I watch mostly team sports Goran is my undisputed nr.1, hell I even have an unhealthy man crush on him

Are you saying from 0% to 12%?, or is that actually what you've heard from league circles?

If LeBron gets the max at 23 or whatever. Bosh takes 15. Wade takes 12, that's be 50 mil right there.
They have Napier tied up for another 1-2 mil. Even if they dump cole, they can snag one big name. Let's say it's Gortat or Lowry. Neither will take paycuts, that's for damn sure. So if they get 12 mil. Miami is maxed out and stuck hoping for vets looking to ring chase.

I can't see Riley figuring this out.

That being said, they all opted out and there's no way they did it without knowing what direction they all would go in.
Here is how I see it playing out.

Wade will sign his cheaper deal first.
Then Bosh will follow suit a day later.

LeBron will continue to hold out while Miami works to add more pieces.
Then LeBron signs his deal.

There will be another douchey big event showing those 3 and the new guy.
Only this time, nobody will care.

Thing is, the Heat did not have a lot of fun last year. Bosh has had to take a huge hit to his ego to stay there. Wade has gone from superduperstar to relic. They've all had to take less money, and the team doesn't look that great. So, if you're making all these sacrifices, but you can't win, what's the point?

I gotta think PHX looks attractive. You don't have to sacrifice anything except that the city may not be the one you want to be in. Hey, the weather's nice. Seems like a minor sacrifice for a really huge and relatively secure payoff. I don't see why it couldn't work.

yup a meeting would be huge. I'm usually not one for moral victories but simply getting a meeting and having James seriously consider phoenix would be really good for the national perception of the suns franchise.

Lebron needs to really consider the Suns. Him, Melo, Dragic, and Bledsoe would be unstoppable. Play the Spurs in the playoffs, Kawhi Leonard can only guard either Lebron or Melo. Dragic is a Spurs killer, that should entice Lebron too. What team would be able to guard all four of those players, there would be a mismatch every game. This team would be Mike D'Antoni's wet dream.

Supposedly James isnt meeting with anybody. His Agent is the one meeting with the teams then sitting down with Lebron and discuss what his best options are. I think that could really help play in our favor.
