He's getting his max with the Clippers who'll be sending Griffin to Miami.

He re-signs with Miami for the FULL max. its Tax free so its even better.

Miami resigns Wade to a 5 year/60 million deal.
Miami lets Bosh go. Bosh either goes to TOR in S&T for Lowry or signs with Dallas or Houston. The suns would be a great fit for him as well. He will get his shots and is surrounded with a good pg and wings.

Miami signs Lowry and Gortat.

Lowry gets 5 years/45 million
Gortat gets 5 years/60 million

Leborn 22.5
Wade 12
Lowry 8
Gortat 12

54.5 million

Hard to pass up the best player in the world, but I too don't think he could handle NY.

You do know that everyone hates the knicks already, can't get too much worse

Why are people feeling the need to chime in with the whole "he deserves it" thing? We know he deserves it, he deserves more than the NBA max can give him but its becoming borderline impossible to win Championships with max players and the whole point of them opting out was to take less to bring others in. If Bron takes a max, it cancels out any savings Bosh and Wade would give them and they're stuck with the same team as last year in theory.

PG - Kyle Lowry/ Napier
SG - Dwayne Wade /
SF - Leborn James / Rashard Lewis
PF - Udonis Haslem /
C - Marcin Gortat / Birdman (vet)

The rest of the roster re-signs with vet minimum.

Chambers walks..

Haslem gets something like 3 year/8 million

If reports are accurate, then LeBron is leaving. He didnt opt out of his contract to re-up max then require his buds to to opt out to take much less to build back a winning team. What kind of resentment would that cause in the locker room? He's given notice to his suitors way before the draft. He's going to survey the land and leave. Lakers have a full slot available and the Clippers have assets to trade while still maintaining a championship level team. IMO "Global Icon" ends up in LA.

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

Fake hustle, Lebron will sign for Free to play with either the Lakers or Celtics.

If James is seeking the max, I highly doubt Wade is going to re-up for as little as people think he will.

If nothing else, this might do wonders to put an end to the narrative that the new paradigm in the NBA is stars teaming up and leaving money on the table. Miami might have been a one-time thing, not the new rule.

What's so good about Bron-Paul and a lot of scrubs? It's not that good a team in a crowded West. LeBron does love CP3 though. Not ruling it out, but it's not that strong a roster. Bron and CP3 is not enough and it's somewhat of an awkward pairing.

I call BS. I'm not a big conspiracy guy, but this whole thing reeks of conspiracy. Planted story to throw the stink off of the fact that a deal was put in place with Riley for them all to opt-out and re-sign at a pay cut. it is a false narrative created by LeBron. If I'm dead wrong- then so be it. We will know soon enough.

They all did that in 2010, why would they need to hide it this year?

Bottom line is that if Riley did promise them that he'd make sure they get all their money if they want it back -- pleading with them to give him more time -- then this is not a normal opt-out situation. It was a blind spot in my own analysis saying Wade will not opt out, because I didn't consider that any agent would take Riley at his word (SHOULD be good lol) and give more time to work. That's what this is more or less.

I will say that my personal opinion is that they are trying to work it out and stay together, most likely.

BUT, this opt-out could just as much be a last-ditch effort to see if Riley can satisfy all parties AS MUCH as it is "We're really close to making this all work" ... in a way that pleases Wade and Bosh (and Arison*) on money, and LeBron on the roster.

*Remember Arison has to see what the luxury tax implications are of stuffing this roster with as much talent as Bron wants.

Riley may be able to make it happen, but I think it could be more precarious than people may think, or easily get there quite quickly. No chance Wade and Bosh opted out without major assurances, and since we don't know what those assurances are, it's too early to say this is going to work out well.

But back to our main man, Melo.

He gets his cake (max-money) and eats it too (Phil will put his stamp on this team, hence, we're winning a title in the next few years).

Straight STAR POWER if he wins it HERE!!! I can't envision any other scenario because the OTHER TEAMS JUST DON'T HAVE THE GLAMOUR! Melo ain't stupid!
