Doesn't matter, Kevin Rashidi says it's a done deal according to his sources. Serious, if BS was gold, he'd be Fort Knox

The story that's being circulated is that there isn't any gold left in Fort Knox - so that even says less for Rashidi.

Lmao if people are angry about a 12 million dollar deal. It's the only way we can keep him likely. I'd rather overpay by 2 million then not have him at all.

I am assuming it's a 4 year/48 million offer with a player option (in the final year?).

Grange said according to his multiple sources. Grange wouldn't go out on a limb like that, he is not a gambler like some other journos. As for contract I agree anything under $12 mil and 5 years is a good deal raps wise.

Players perform in contract years. Players also get injured, players decline, players lose motivation after signing a big contract. I'm not saying those are things that will happen to Lowry, they're just things that have happened to MANY players in the history of the NBA.

Players sign contracts that look like good deals initially, then turn out to be terrible contracts. Remember the year Larry Sanders got his extension, and that shot chart of his opponents FG% was leaving people in awe, his deal was considered a bargain. Now what are people saying about him? How tradeable is his contract now?

Again, not saying that will happen to Lowry. Just stating what's already happened in the NBA to other players. Just a reminder of the how unpredictable some player contracts can be, for those of you that think overpaying him is fine because he could always be traded later on.

We didn't want Bosh to go, everybody understood why he left. BC left a mess. Even VC made the right decision with Babcock. Lowry leaving doesn't make sense.

For a 3 year deal, I was thinking 3/35....3/36 is acceptable. 4/48 is too much though, for 4 I'd offer in the 4/40 range, max.

Miami might be a better chance of winning now, but Lowry hasn't really had a pay day in the league so now is the time at his age, so I think the high bidder will win out.

Maybe Riley will offer Vasquez 10 million, forcing us to match, so we can't pay Lowry. Make sense?

No, you don't have to listen. All Lowry has to do is look at Steve Nash, who took the paycut to try and win a chip with Howard/Pau/Kobe and ended up bombing. Never turn down the $$$

I'm not liking that his contract would start at $12 Million. That's a little too high for one year of high caliber production. It was his contract year at that... I'd need to see more to justify his contract starting at $12 Million. Should have began around 9.5 and worked its way up.
