Guess not.

My thinking is the front office knows they're not gonna get lebron/melo/bosh but it doesn't hurt to ask and when you have an opportunity to get the best player in the world you must pursue it, but part of me thinks Mcdonough released this plan to go after Lebron just to stir the pot a little bit and make us seem more attractive to other free agents or maybe even kevin love. I mean in the past few hours I'm seeing tweets that were linked to Hayward, Ariza, Parsons, Gasol, Isiah Thomas etc.
I like Draft Picks/Cap Space, long walks on the beach, and short youtube clips.

Not going to lie I got excited about the LeBron news... but I kept it cool today while talking with people and realized we'd probably come out of free agency keeping Bledsoe and adding someone like Deng.

It's human (sports) nature to get excited about this stuff. It's hard to be level headed and realize the truth.

Having said that lets go get LeBron

The most exciting thing is that we are even in this position in such a small amount of time. A little over a year ago we were just coming off one of the worst seasons in franchise history. Now we have so much upside the king diva himself can't help but be interested.

@WojYahooNBA "Miami reached out to Kyle Lowry's agent Andy Miller tonight, and sides are planning to talk in the morning, source tells Yahoo."

I knew it would happen, but it still makes me nervous. Apparently Toronto has wavered on giving Lowry a 5th year in the contract, so now he's talking to other teams (@ESPNSteinLine: Line of teams chasing Kyle Lowry so long that Raptors now said to be weighing whether to offer fifth year to Lowry to clinch his re-signing). I just hope to God he demands more than Miami can give him.

Didn't someone say lebron is in Brazil?
McD said 24-48hr wait period.

Forget it lebron is staying in Miami

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

I'm really hoping McD means 48 hours after hearing a definitive response from LeBron/his agent. If we call his agent and are greeted with a "yeah, LBJ will sign with you if Riley can't fix the Heat," then I'm sure we'll wait longer than 48 hours.

Where did that whole wait period thing come from?

McD just doesn't want to lose out on some other key FA moves if LeBron takes a million years to get back to us. Pretty much, if he doesn't give us at least a 'maybe,' McD will move on and improve our team in other ways. It's been mentioned in articles and radio shows (sorry, no links at the moment).

You know when you were a kid and had a really hard time beating a video game? So you tried and tried and you kept getting close but not close enough - So you're big brother shows you a cheat code and you beat the game with ease. Youre partially excited to have finally seen the last level, but a swelling of guilt comes and the excitement sort of leaves and all of the sudden you don't really even want to play the game?

I don't want lebron here. I know what it means. It means we're contenders. But I want to do it without cheat codes. Which in this case means without a flighty and fickle superstar who will come here and get what he wants to eventually leave us with nothing. I want a system to be built. I want us to compete for a decade, not for a three year contract. Honestly, I'd take parsons and Hayward over lebron. Not because we would be better, but because I think it'd make us more honest and more sustainable.

All of this being said, I love lebron.

Melo would be possibly make me stop watching the suns.

I wasn't necessarily speaking about the LeBron thing, just a general comment. Happens with the draft prospects where everyone thinks everyone's gonna be great, free agency, trade deadlines, etc.

Pretty much this. Although I wouldn't want parsons, hayward would be fine but Utah will match. I think Hornaceck is capable of building a spurs like dynasty (decades of contention) instead of a miami dynasty (four years of contention) or even boston with kg and crew (three years).I still want us to trade for horford. Free agency just sign bledsoe and tucker. What this team needs is a trade for a pf (horford or love) with all the assests we have. Bothare young, would complete the team, and would give us at least 5+ years of contention.

If McD pulls this off, he should receive a 10 year contract extension, a raise, and a spot in the ring of honor during the season opener. He'd took a team that was suppose to begin its tenure in the bottom for few years, to a team arguably the favorite to come out of the west. all in the span of a year

I can't believe what I'm reading... But it your opinion and are entitled to it.

But...

1. Signing Lebron at 20+ million dollars... That's Paying an athlete to play basketball 20+ million dollars a year, when some guy who is probably leading the research to cancer who will save millions of lives is on a six figure salary with ten times the stress levels.... It's not cheating, suns would be paying Lebron absolute MAX money... Which is how teams in the league get good players.

2. if Suns were given 20 point head starts every games whilst having a perfectly fine lineup... Id feel bad too... Because they have an unfair advantage...

3. If suns players were allowed to take PEDs to recover quicker from a back to back, injury or general after game recovery whilst other teams weren't allowed... I'd feel bad too... That's another advantage that cheapens the accomplishments.

4. if suns were allowed to have an extra 1% on their soft cap above everyone else... I'd feel bad because that's an unfair advantage, again, it cheapens the accomplishments.

5. if suns were allowed to play with 6 men on the court against 5 men... I'd feel bad again... It's an unfair advantage.

But to play the Free Agency game... Where 3-4 of the top teams are stacked of talent And another 4-5 teams having tons of stars wanting to play there... Suns playing within rules and aiming to get better within those same rules... Is not cheating nor should anyone else feel cheating.

Suns are a young team with potential.. It's not like they have 4-5 stars all taking less salary cap money but getting huge endorsements off court...

Suns getting Lebron is no different than when they had 3-4 all-Stars... Nash, Amare, Marion and Joe Johnson...
In fact I think the SSOL team would be best team in the league today.. With no prime Duncan/Parker/Ginobili Spurs to get in the way.

I take it you just want the Suns to be underdogs and win miraculously... Like a Disney movie where the bunch of "good" guys beat the big bad bullies...

Sorry but that's fantasy today...

Look at all the championship teams... Multiple All stars and HOF players ... Suns don't have one currently.
