Now let's just hope Lowry signs with Toronto (heck, with anyone other than Miami).
Riley's options would be pretty slim. Would LeBron find Deng and Gasol enough of an improvement to stay with the Heat?
Lebron's "I'll take my time" approach could be the death of the Heat chances to sign quality FA's. No FA with sense is going to wait on Lebron when teams are offering them big money right away. If you snooze you lose!!
Word is that LeBron is giving Riley a few days to see if he can do something to improve the team in free agency, otherwise he is out of there.
I do not think Riley has enough room to get it done. Dallas, Cleveland, Houston, Phoenix, Lakers. Those have to be the most likely spots. So here are my odds. Odds that Miami can put together a roster that says "stay." 30%. Suns chances among the rest of the teams even with everyone else. So 1 in 5. So, 15% chance over all.
No, not quite. The percentage should not be based solely on the numbers of teams pursuing him, but, it should be based on their roster and other things like city appeal, future going forward, chance of winning it all etc. I think that improves our chances over the others.
