Noah was seen walking into the UC. KC reported that Rose would be "made available" and I think someone else said Taj might be part of the pitch. I think it's more likely that Melo hangs out separately with Jo, Rose, and Taj after Melo finishes meeting with Bulls management.

Why would they say that when it is not accurate?

I have zero doubt that they can clear everyone out, up to and including Jimmy, and offer a bit over 18.

I have little doubt that they can clear out everyone but Jimmy (four guaranteed contracts in MJD, Snell, Smith and Randolph, plus unguaranteed deals than can just be cut), and can offer about 16.5 to start.

It might cost some future assets, but we are talking about MJD on a value deal (3 mil), Snell, who has some value as a rotation player, Smith, who has some value as a rotation player, and Randolph, who has a small deal at 1.8 M and might even also have value as a rotation player (and the Bulls could send the cash out to cover his contract).
