SVG is playing with our minds

Post#1 » by paQo the BAWSER » Tue Jul 1, 2014 8:32 pm

Could you imagine if we end at the start of this season with this lineup?

Thomas-KCP-Ariza-Anderson-Drummond. OH MY. REAL GOOD FITS.

Im gonna be livid if we dump Monroe Ryan freaking Anderson. Anderson is a one dimensional shooter coming off a serious neck injury. Monroe is a multiskilled blossoming big man. I would be happy getting Thomas to replace Jennings and Ariza to fill the SF spot though.

I think Monroe is the better player but Anderson is the better fit. Imagine Anderson lighting up the 3 point line creating all that space for Drummond to dominate the paint.

And imagine all the easy layups we will give up with Thomas and Anderson in the lineup. Monroe isnt the best defender but he is certainly better than Anderson. He is also better on offense. There is no reason to make that trade imo.

I don't want Ariza. Reeks like a FA bust big time.

Ariza for anything more than 3M a year is a HUGE bust

He wants to get paid and wont step foot in Detroit for anything less than 8-9M

Well Anderson and Monroe are basically a wash but Anderson is a ideal pairing with a Center like Drummond. And Isiah Thomas will look like Ben wallace defensively when you think about how Jennings plays defense.

Then my god if you want to start talking about efficiency between Thomas and Jennings its disgusting. Anderson add brings something we need and thats 3 point shooting. Monroe brings something we already have at a much better level in Drummond and thats a score at the rim game.

Can't wait until Ariza signs with someone else so that can finally die. Want no parts of him.

Don't wanna just trade Moose for Ryan Anderson straight up either. We'd be getting raped.

You may not want Anderson for Monroe, but I'm really confident that Monroe is done as a Piston and we will do a sign-trade. We have leverage since we can always match, but I don't think we want to. If not Anderson, then who?

Free-agent guard Jodie Meeks has reached agreement on a three-year, $19.5 million contract with the Detroit Pistons, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Free-agent forward Cartier Martin has agreed to a one-year deal with the Pistons, too, sources told Yahoo Sports.

No, I actually cannot imagine starting the season with that lineup.

Feeling pretty fine about the two signings so far and the reported offer for Thomas. Three players who are ALL basically better shooters than the people who were on our team last year. can't wait to see the trades.

If you'd honestly rather have Stuckey (who was on a 3 year 8.5mil per deal) over Meeks on his 19/3 contract, then you're insane. Stuckey has underperformed every year in Detroit and isn't a 3 point threat. Makes no sense to keep him. Especially if you want this team to be good.
