I know that this is the right move for the organization, but Willie will be missed b/c he is a true professional. What an amazing team player that was always willing to "give it up" for team success, I am sure he was a great team mate.
Not surprising that it took a team (Orlando) less than a day to snatch him off waivers, Good Luck Willie & THANKS!
Thanks, Willie Green!

A true pro's pro. Hope grover gets more run in Orlando than we were able to give him. Stand up team first guy, wish him the best

Why was it the right move, exactly? Honest question.

Re: Thanks, Willie Green!
Willie Green is 32 or 33 makes 1.4 million and those minutes could be split between younger players. It also frees up some money and in the Cap era, it is important to be frugal sometimes.
The Clippers bench is deep enough now that Willie wouldn't start like he did 2 years ago when Billups was injured, so why did we really need him? I am a huge Grover fan, but his talents for this team are not worth the money & the cap hit.
Honest answer.

Re: Thanks, Willie Green!
Thanks Willie for all your contributions. He's a great guy and a real pro. He was always ready when his name was called. I hope he enjoys his time in Orlando with all the young guys.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Re: Thanks, Willie Green!
Reggie Bullock is slotted to make 1.2 million, and CJ Wilcox as a rook will make around 900,000. WIllie's 1.4 can go to another bench player who is not a SG, and frankly, having JJ, Jamal, Bullock, CJ, and at this moment still Dudley, made Willie expandable. also it is not fair to Willie to sit on bench when we have so many SGs at our disposal to waste his last remaining good years of his career on the bench. if he wasn't a part of our rotation, it is only right to let him have a chance at meaningful playing time elsewhere, and it was time for us to start grooming Bullock. a roster spot and 1.4 million can go a long way for this team.
ehhhhh f it.

I'll miss his number being called whenever one of our SG's is down. Stand up dude and solid pro indeed.
