I don't want to come off as abrasive again because we actually agree on a lot of things (including our love for UConn) but that kind of contract for Parsons seems outrageous to me, at least for our team. We would pretty much be going all in on the guy. I think he is good, but not that good. Say what you want about the MKG love dome, but some people appreciate 20 year olds who get NBA all-defensive team votes. You don't seem to have much faith in MKG's development but if we spend that kind of money on a guy who might not be the best player at his position on our team in a year or two that could end up backfiring terribly. I was ok with the idea of Parson initially because I assumed his market value would be quite a bit lower than that, but if that is what it takes to sign him I think we should stay far away. I understand your concern about scoring from our wing positions but we did just draft Hairston who could help a lot in this area and we still should be in contention for Lance, who would basically solve all of our remaining problems (other than Hendo still being on our roster, S&T for Lance maybe?). I wouldn't start throwing out big offers for Parsons unless he can actually play SG and we can't get Lance.

That's fair. I'm enjoying free agency honestly aside from not having a beat writer with scoop skills. I'd be happy with Lance or Hayward or Parsons all for different reasons. Whether they block Henderson and/or MKG or totally remove one or both, I'll be happy as long as I see a legitimate upgrade at those positions. At this point I actually have a preference of MKG over Henderson as MKG's age still makes him a potential long-term fit. I would rather overpay than upgrade neither position though.

1. Trade Gerald Henderson+Gary Neal for Eric Gordon and 2 2nd round picks
I know most of you want us to get one of the FAs this offseason (Stephenson, Parsons, Hayward). But out of all Eric Gordon fits the best with the roster we have. He provides great 3pt shooting (best out of all options), 1-1 ability (second only to Lance), second ball handler and experience. All of the above mentioned FAs will seek a contract above 10 mill per year. for the sake of the argument let say 4/48. If you combine that 12 mill with Henderson making 6mill and Neal Making 3.25mill and Hairston making 1 mill you get 22 mill, just for a SG position. With Gordon+Hairston you have 16 mill going to a SG position and Gordon expires the same year as Big Al and when Kemba will be up for extension.
6 mill of cap space gone to accommodate Gordons salary.
2. Resign McRoberts for 2/14
McRoberts was our third best player last season after Al and Kemba and was very important to team success with his outside shooting and play making. Give him a 2 year contract so he expires the same off season as Al and above mentioned Gordon and when Vonleh or Zeller should be ready to take over the position.
7 mill cap space gone
3. Sign Greivis Vasquez for 3/12
Vasquez has nice size at PG position. And I hear Clifford say that we need more size at every position. He also is a good shooter and passer.
4 mill cap space gone
5 Sign Anthony Morrow for 2/6
Bobcats were one of the worst shooting teams in the league last year and Morrow can improve that. He is a nice backup at 2 and 3 in case of injury and is a North Carolina native.
Hornets roster:
Kemba/Vasquez
Gordon/Hairston/Morrow
MKG/Taylor
McRoberts/Zeller/Vonleh
Big Al/Biyombo
I believe that this team has a nice mixture of veterans and young guys. Enough shooters to compliment the slashers and big men. All are willing passers and solid defensively.
