Suiting up and proving your health to a free agent has got to be a blow to the pride.

Good for you, D-Rose. Bravo.

That was the only part that struck me as unbelievable and yet incredibly odd. If Rose did that, folks, that buys Rose a reprieve for agreeing to do it and the Bulls went all OUT! Wow....

If this occurred I don't see as humbling for Rose or some magnamious gesture .....I think it speaks volumes of Derrick Rose that he can get over his own stardom and just be a regular guy who is pulling with his team to land ( probably ) the most signficant free agent signing in Bulls history ( as in a player that wasn't drafted by the Bulls )

Melo is a Top 3 player in the NBA behind Durant and James and is our " over the top" guy

Derrick just wants to weeeeeeeeiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnn

And he's letting his actions match his words

Good for him

yes, 27 and 8 last year he is really terrible. You can't tell me your fan base thinks he is the player that will put them over the hump for a championship and then you tell me we can have him and will stink with him. It doesn't make sense.

If he chooses Chicago then that is fine, I hope a more than fair S&T can be worked out. But basking him makes no sense.

You are rebuilding team with a lot of age.

We do have the better coach, and team. Who is your starting center, sg. We are missing a primary scorer. Melo fits our weakness very well.

Having Melo in your position is like having a 62 inch 3d tv and no house. He

a lot of age? name the players over 30 on the knicks?

And it will be Phil's job to get him players. I am not telling Melo what to do but the knicks will be fine with him or without him

If he moves to the Bulls, it's a big decision for him, not only for basketball reasons, but in terms of moving his family, as well as his legacy is on the line. I'm not sure if he or his reps demanding seeing Derrick work out, but it was probably a good move for all the parties involved.

I think Chicago would be equal if not better for his legacy than the Knicks would be.

Knicks and Bulls are equal international brands with dedicated fans and storied history. In fact, thanks to a certain player from 20 years ago, the Chicago brand may even be better than New York's.

it be cool if we had an agreement from melo and then proceeded to recruit lebron as a inside joke. And had Snell, Funk and jeff tanaka (bulls trainer) go and give him our pitch lol.

Lol, and why not take less money to play at a championship level for a BIG market team?!

I would rather do that than continue being irrelevant for the next five years.

How much did that championship matter to Randy Brown when he had his ring on Ebay for auction a few years back?

There is a reason why NY'ers believe Carmelo won't leave. 130 million reasons.

Why take 70 when I can take a 100?

Rose may have been goaded into this, but he stepped up and did it. Nothing but respect for that.

So if Bosh and Wade really are taking huge paycuts, will Melo look at that and see how his buddies are giving up money to win, so he'd consider it too?

What is the difference between $227 million and $260 million in career earnings? A lot of money, of course. Still though, this man is one of the richest people on the planet, the top 0.1%, probably top 0.05%.

Honestly why would Knicks register internationally at all?.. Compared to Bulls I don't think they are a blip on the radar
