She has a reality show on VH1 right now that follows her day to day stuff, she host reunion type reality shows on TV from time to time, and she's doing pretty well with the Think Like a Man movies with Kevin Hart right now.

Ah okay...thanks.

Wade, Bosh, Haslem all opting to take pay cuts and try and bring in a 4th star this offseason pretty has that covered. I look forward to the 2016 or 2017 offseason when the Heat try and bring in a 5th star.

Yes, the Spurs players did that as well, but like anything there is a line that gets crossed. The Spurs didn't collectively do that when they were in their primes. Wade might not be in his prime anymore, but they already pulled this stunt when each of the Heatles were in their primes. A player can be confident until they're considered arrogant, looking out for their best interests before they're greedy. I think alot of people outside of the Miami fanbase think the Heat have long since crossed the " noble sacrifice for the team" line and are fully in the "I want the deck fully stacked in my favor at all times" category.

I'm serious though. She's cool as hell, got a great personality, loves hip hop, and still keeps herself busy compared to just mooching off of her baller husband. I actually know who Lala is besides just being Melo's wife, that's probably a reassuring thing for her that people can say that.

Grade A wifey material right there.

*This opinion in no way reflects Bulls management or Players, so no need to feel disrespected Carmelo Anthony in case you're reading.

Yeah, Lala has her own career going on, TV show, movies, hosting gigs. She's not gonna stop Melo from leaving New York if it boosts his career and is something he really wants to do, just like Melo isn't gonna tell Lala she can't do a film or TV show she wants to do. If Melo wants to compete for a title next year and play for the Bulls then he'll be here and she'll be by his side.

What shows is Lala on now adays? Or Movies for that matter. The only thing I know about her is that she use to be a MTV VJ back when she and Melo first got together and that she is married to Melo.

She has her reality show, and she's been in both "Think Like A Man" movies as well as that Paula Patton flick "Baggage Claim". I heard she's in a new series Starz series too. She keeps busy, has her own life and money which is cool.

The Knicks board is delusional... I mean I don't blame them for being extremely upset at the situation (they gave up like all of their assets just a few years ago to get Melo, now he may bolt).

But they're talking about getting like every asset we have in a S&T just to save a little cap space, it's ridiculous. Quite a few people are saying they want: Mirotic, McDermott, Butler, Kings pick, 2 future firsts, 2 future 2nd's AND we have to take back JR smith, essentially just so that we can offer Carmelo more money

They'll take the Kings pick and a few 2nd rounders and like it.

Yeah, try to refrain if you can. It's like a damn vortex. Once you go in, there isn't any coming back out. And before you know it, you will find yourself with less brain cells and a possible suspension just for good measure.

Who really cares what some of those dummies think? They probably also talked about how they wouldn't have to give up as much when they first got Melo.

Polynice4Pippen wrote:and we see how it turned out and Derrick did indeed recruit like so many predicted he wouldn't.

People predicted he wouldn't recruit because he specifically said he wouldn't. On several occasions.

He said that as a general statement.

I don't see why taking him at his word needs to be called out. Even if somehow you were the one guy who predicted Rose would do everything he did today, that would have been a wild guess imo.

Yet we know Derrick recruited Hinrich. And it was reported Derrick had reached out to Melo. That sounds like recruiting to me. Actions>>>words.

I don't necessarily file a report about some text message under actions. Especially when most of the rumors reported in the summer are wrong. I'm neutral about all unproven reports.

And Hinrich is somewhat relevant, but so was his tentativeness in the summer of 2010(unless he knew there was a 0% chance to get any of those guys - but we don't know he knew that.) So it's understandable why some might dare criticize him for his repeated statements about recruitment not being his job. Not that I think it SHOULD be his job, but that's the era we're in now.

I'm glad he changed his mind and that his actions are opposite from his words. He was a total stud today, and deserves credit for it. Also, if anyone used this to pile on other issues(like how he dealt with his injuries,) I'm not defending them.

**** id be bitter too if the guy i had been rooting for is off talking to other teams.

But in the end both teams will move forward with their respective directions regardless of melo's decision. Our direction is brighter but hey...

This is hilarious. This is what Knicks fans think they are getting in a S&T without Boozer..

Shogun12 wrote:I know I may be alone, but if Carmelo were willing to take a 4 year 78 million dollar deal (19 million a season), I'd trade Taj, as well as MDJ, Boozer and Randolph to land him in an outright signing. You'd still have 5 million in capspace to offer Gasol or even Jordan Hill. No messing around with giving valuable assets to New York, and you can bring Mirotic over next summer.

PG-Rose/Hinrich (vet min)
SG-Butler/Snell
SF-Melo/McDermott
PF-Hill/Brand (vet min)/Bairstow
C-Noah/Kaman (BAE)/Smith

Isn't this a title contender? I understand the ideal scenario of landing Melo in a sign and trade. I want that too. But Houston couldn't pull it off last year with Dwight, and I'm not willing to lose Melo if New York flat out refuses to negotiate like the Lakers may have last off-season.

My last post for the night....

I'm still doubtful Melo comes to Chicago. And that's okay. I was figured he'll follow the money, stay in NYC where him, his wife and his son are most comfortable. I respect that.

But today's events should be a reminder to all of us that our front office, our coach and our players are all in and they're all on the same page.

For months, we heard stuff about friction between Thibs and GarPax. Here they are working together for a common purpose.

For months, we heard stuff about how Rose doesn't want to recruit and how bad his knees are and how he's done and all that. Here he is working out at the UC giving Melo a glimpse of what he can possibly be in November.

The Bulls figuratively put their best foot forward. No manufactured drama. No turmoil. No tension. They did what they had to do and now it's all up to Melo on whether he wants to be here or be somewhere else. I respect his choice. It's his life.

What I want for the rest of the NBA and our own fans to know that the Bulls are a top notch organization that are committed to winning championships. They have the same goal we as fans want. I couldn't be happier with them.

It will be really funny if we do get Melo so some draft picks and expiring/unguaranteed contracts. It will be the same old story...Bulls owning Knicks just like the good ol days.

Chris Palmer ‏@ChrisPalmerNBA now

Bulls perfect for Melo. 3 prime All-Stars + Butler, Taj, Thibs in weak East.
