Any info ?

Actually, he was never a Sun. He was a contract, that is all.
He was severely injured all year, and our team paid less money because his injury's assurance.

When I get to work I'm calling the police to put out an APB.

Not a peep about him except rumors about MIA and a few other teams that might be interested.

Its shocking actually. This is FA. You figure one way or another someone would say something.

No updates at all. He was only supposed to be out until like Jan last year. Then he missed the entire year. But you would expect to hear something.

Very strange.

You know what is kind of surprising to me? We hear ALL these rumors about teams interested in all of these players, even the RFA's Hayward, Parsons and Monroe. But in the last three days or so, I don't think I've heard of one team saying they were interested in Bledsoe. Odd? I know we said we would match a max, but the other teams have pretty much said the same about those other guys. Zero word on Tucker as well. I take this as good news. Gaspar said we'd just give Bledsoe max or close to it, but if no interest, I don't see why to go above $12 at all ($11 would probably be about right actually).

Interesting player. Great passer, good shooter and decent defender...he can be a good addition if we fail in other options.

Sure, depending on who the Blazers go with, I'm ok with getting him or Hawes in replace of Frye. Hawes must be willing to take the mid level if he is really interested in Portland and is probably the best of the three.

I think Hawes will sign a big contract. Gortat $60M/5 years...
Probably some team offers him around $40M/4 years, young bigs always get great contracts.

Not worth that. Worth $6 though, especially if we don't get anyone else and lose Frye. Wouldn't want a deal that long though I don't think.

Yes, I agree that he not whoth that money, but bigs that can play starter minutes a lot of times are overpaid.
I hope we are not overpaying him, of course.

So Miami's last two championships are tainted? They're not "real" titles.

Since the Suns are closing in on 50 years without a title, I suppose beggars can't be choosers.

Anyone here who doesn't want LeBron would change there tune after the 1st game of next season when you see what he would do for this team. It would be an absolute beautiful thing to watch and set up what would likely be the most entertaining season in the history of the franchise.

Free agency is part of the game. When Phoenix signed the first ever free agent, Tom Chambers, the days of players staying with their teams their entire careers was over. Had we been able to win a championship with Chambers it wouldn't have been tainted. Players realize this is a business and there is little loyalty by the teams who drafted them. Sure there are a couple of players with old-time mentality (Kobe and Duncan) but they were paid well and even they looked at free agency a couple times during their careers.

So ... we absolutely must try to get Lebron and I don't believe it will taint anything

I know, I was watching NBAtv, and they talked about Lowery a good bit of time, then listed all the other possible FA pgs, and no mention or picture of Bledsoe. They listed five other pgs with pictures. I thought maybe they just listed UFA, and that was why, but Vasquez was listed as a RFA. Very odd indeed.

More and more free agents getting picked up makes me believe it will be harder for the Heat to get a significant upgrade besides the big three, which makes it more likely that Lebron leaves IMO.

I don't know about you guys, but I like the fact that Bledsoe hasn't been mentioned thus far. James has everyone on hold. If he says something it is bad, if he doesn't say anything it is bad...

I will be checking back here every two hours for info. It is a slow FA period thanks to Lebron.

Yeah, we discussed it a few posts up (1361 & 1364). Good sign.

For Love.. Might have to give up both Morris twins, Dragic (unfortunately), Green... Add suns 2015 pick, wolves 2015 pick. I wouldn't give up any more picks.

Martin is packaged with Love.

The lineup.

C: Hawes / Plumlee / Len
PF: Love / McRoberts / Plumlee
SF: James / Tucker / Warren
SG: Martin / Allen / Goodwin
PG: Bledsoe / Goodwin / Ennis
Then in 2015, Bogdanovic comes in!!

That's an incredible team for Lebron, Love and Bledsoe since all the pieces around them fit .

/rosterbation

This type of swill needs to stay in the spittoon. You move Dragic to accommodate the divas desires to play together and I'm gone too.

I have pretty much witnessed the Suns as a Fan from their day one. Just shy a few yrs. in all this time, we have utilized all methods of building good and occassionly, contending teams. One thing was common, except for a couple year glitch with Sarver's giddiness, we did it with class and with players who wanted to be Suns.

Our first brush was with a group of role playing vets a couple of hard nosed rookies, and emerging all star guard. Chambers was the first free agent EVER ... And we signed him. I wager he considers himself more Sun than Sonic. Hawkins was an ABA outcast...but made his mark here and is seldom thought of as a fLaker. Hell, Dick Van Arse got the label the original Sun. Barkley came saw and nearly conquered, made Phoenix his home... And still has affection for the purple and orange. Nash ? Nash was Nash and embodied the spirit, until he jumped ship to chase a ring. He'll get his ring, but it will be the ring of fire/honor or what ever it is we bestows upon our favorites...

Point is, I'm not against James coming, but it really gripes me when you see the talk of how we have to entice him by adding another so called superstar even it it means shipping off a few 'expendables'. There is already a team in place, a team by definition, that grew together and achieved enough respect that now even the great Lebron is actually taking notice.

I want guys that want to be here... Enthusiastic about playing FOR Phoenix. Guys who see themselves as Suns. Yeah, I am that sappy to expect a certain degree of loyalty from both player and organization.

And yes, I know I open myself up for young capons to start clucking their anti 'back in the days' routines. it's pretty much standard for this current generation ( and you know who you are)... Not only in sports but in life. But no need to there as ignorance is truly bliss. Yet I just went there... Haha peewees. Truth hurts... Best to just ignore it/us.

If James inks up a deal with walking rights after two yrs... The writing will be on the wall. Any championship, and by no means does he guarantee one, likely becomes more about him...his fn legacy...sure it will be fantastic for phnx, I hope to enjoy it.... But the chance is equal he opts out early and runs away like he's doing in Miami. He is on a quest now. Jewelry accumulation. It's the only way he can solidly his greatness...having more rings than Michael.

We're a step stone with a welcome mat.

And yes , Id welcome him... But very wary of the many strings attached.

I just want a player who wants to be a Sun, that all. Lebron's legacy could end up as one with no identity, just a full jewelry box and a closet loaded with jerseys.

all these decent free agents getting signed makes me so happy....its make the #LEBRONERA so much more plausible.

seriously, if he stays on the heat, with essentially the same roster, he would for lose his "mercenary" title people are putting on him.

I'm sorry, but anyone who wants that kind of title is not a sports fan. That's not what sports is about.

I'ld rather be carried up to Mount Everest, than be stuck at the bottom not even sniffing climbing the mountain, and being attacked wild lions that bludgeon your to death and violently tear your flesh off my bones to feed their young, but not enough flesh to kill me, while wild hunter-gatherers from local tribal communities capture the "foreigner" and lock me up in a cage with the village cannibal, who then devours what the lions didnt consume, and then have me (while still alive) paraded around the village with pieces of my flesh littering the pathways, and then be executed by being drowned in the river, and then have my head on a spear which would serve as an example to other "foreigners" who invade the land, and then have my body burned by and the ashes sent to my parents

Okay this metaphor went off base, but you get the point.

We could get him for likely 1/10th the price of Deng and he isn't an entirely dissimilar player. Last season Deng averaged 14 and 5 shooting 41%, Marion averaged 10 and 5 shooting 48%. Both are solid perimeter defenders.

I don't mind this idea one bit.
