Rather break the bank on Parsons than go after Ariza

I'm not a big ariza fan. If he comes cheap, then fine.

I doubt we waste the rest of our cap on ariza although I would love to have him.

don't we only have like 6 million left anyways? that seems like the perfect amount to give ariza.

Quote from Ariza after he was traded from Orlando to LAL:

Looking back at relationship with Stan Van Gundy in 2010 interview:

"It’s not about me, or one person in this series. It’s about a team. I think he’s a good coach. I didn’t fit into his style of play, and that’s fine with me. You’re not going to fit into everybody’s system."

I've heard that Chandler Parsons is plan "B" for teams who lose out on Carmelo Anthony.

I could easily see Ariza being plan "C", meaning he could be getting a solid offer from a team like Dallas, who is likely to lose out to Houston/Chicago for the first two guys.

Nice find on the quote from Ariza in 2010. I wonder if anything has changed since then?

But yeah, I kind of threw away the possibility of getting Ariza after we signed Meeks and Martin as I don't think we have enough money left.

But maybe if a trade with Sacramento happens..?

Ariza seems in a good position to be overpaid. I'd like him for the right price, but it looks like he is going to get paid well beyond that. And Haywood is definitely going to get overpaid. Maybe we could do a Smith for Boozer and McBuckets and get our SF that way.

Either way, I don't think Ariza is a realistic option anymore.

I really believe the gundy quote about not going after 1 big player and going after a few smaller pieces is all smoke.I understand we did just sign 2 guys that would lead everyone to believe hes not lieing, but I think he goes after that big fish and uses monroe as the bait.I just dont see how hes going to be content with walking into this upcoming season with the same squad and adding 2 avg pieces. We still have a BIG HOLE at sf that needs to be addressed, and their are still quality sf to be had, hayward, parsons, deng, ariza, and guys like chandler and green that are on trading blocks.I would bet money we end up with one of them and to a smaller degree a new pg.

On a side note I wish we were good trading partners with the bucks and could pull off some kind of trade that would bring middleton back.
