At least not yet.

Was there a lot of buzz going on down there when they made the pitch to Dwight last year?

Same for me. It is not extremely hot in Houston for 6 months. Not even close.

This seems like when Chicagoans are defending our winter and say "its not THAT bad, only in January and February" when they full well know our weather blows.

Not sure but owner Les Alexander seemed a bit disappointed here...

What do rings have to do with anything in this context? Look at it objectively, Chicago has been on another level compared to the Knicks just the past 4 years. The Bulls, with their team and their front office, have shown a remarkable degree of consistency, stability, and have managed to maintain a certain level of performance regardless of circumstances, injuries, etc.

The Knicks have just been a complete mess. If they're not trading half the roster away one year, they're firing a coach in another or somehow still not managing to make the playoffs in a historically awful eastern conference

He's obviously excited by the fact that the guy that helped Chicago get all their rings is now running the Knickerbocker organization. Knicks fans can't help but at least be slightly encouraged.

July and August we don't even leave our homes. Its too dangerous. I've had the skin melt off my face just running from the air conditioned garage to the end of the driveway to get the trashcans.

You're right we don't have rings lately, but we didn't suck terribly even with Melo like New York did. I just can't see Melo staying with a franchise that's losing consistently even with him. Chicago has a considerably better coach management and roster to win. You're right. Let's see what Melo is made of - how much he cares about winning vs money.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

I might be excited if that guy got rings running the Bulls, or any organization. But does anyone think Jerry West or Jerry Krause were deferring to Phil on personnel?

Didn't it thought? Like he seemed like he just wanted to get out of there but it's still assuming a lot.

Whatever. Melo going to the Rockets or anywhere in the West is harmless to us and frankly, his loss.

Even with all that filler you typed, and irregardless of the fact that NYK has a GM that won rings in Chicago, we are light years ahead of the knicks. With melo we are a championship contender. With melo NYK are 2-3 years out from contending and rebuilding that roster. As a true chicagoan I can't wrap my mind around the fact he hasn't committed here already.

They talked with Phil regarding making the trade for Dennis...does that count?

Why? They are just doing their job. I don't think it nets them a championship but just like ole trader bob in Portland they work every angle. One team wins there are different philosophy's to win ( spurs vs heat) but they make a run nothing to hate. Honestly if Rose had not got injured a second time and came back this year as we all hope he does this is a non conversation.

I don't hate the Rockets for going after Melo, but for pretty much everything else they're doing.

Seriously, what has Lin done to them?

If it hurts them then good. Tough situation what number do you put on then? That photoshop stuff is corny anyway
