The 2012-2013 Miami Heat. They had a negative point differential in their 7 games series vs the Spurs. They were outscored by 5 over the course of the 7 games.

My favorite development from this Melo saga has been the delusion of Knick fans reaching unprecedented levels.

Seriously. It's been so entertaining and amusing to read. I'm enjoying it.

When you say defense can win championships show me a NBA champ that won it all without out scoring its opponent? What you're saying is cliche. You're putting the cart before the horse. It's like trying to have a baby with no male and female interaction lol... its not gonna happen. You need both, and for the life of me I can't understand why more fans don't get this. Its not rocket science. That is why you're going after Melo is it not, to help you guys score more points?

Houston already had the #4 offense in the league. You seriously think scoring is the problem? If not, what does Melo bring that puts you over the top?

I'm not comparing Houston to Chicago. I never was to begin with lol. I'm talking about as a whole how fans think all you need is defense. And I say show me a top 10 defensive team, that was a bottom 10 offensively that won a title in the NBA.

Unloyal to WHO exactly? Carlos Boozer? He gave up on the team long ago.

Yeah, with the exception of a former MVP not playing a single game that season.

And if everything we know about players with chronic knee issues this won't be the last season that your former MVP is out

You don't have a clue what you're talking about, and I'm just going to leave it at that.

Its not just about talent. Its about complimentary pieces. The Bulls core is all defense. Add a pure scorer like Melo and its golden. At least in theory. That's why we want him.

Complimentary Pieces.
Teamwork.

Its a concept.

Without rose those complimentary pieces mean nothing and hate to break it to you but rose is stoudemire 2.0. You guys sign melo and you will have zero capspace for years. We can sign another star next year.

Now you're just being trollish and stupid. Rose doesn't have a degenerative knee condition like Amare. If Melo signs, they don't need cap space next year, they've got a 3 year window.
Honesty is my only excuse.

How many microfracture surgeries has Rose undergone?

Lazy comparison is lazy.

To earn the respect of this poster, no front office should sign free agents. No player should become a free agent. All teams to remain static.

You guys are at least 3 years away....rookie coach, has never been to the playoffs, not enough talent and ZERO defense.

NY isn't going anywhere the next decade. Unbalanced roster and a LMA or Love next year won't solve their huge problems.

Really? Name the last player that went from MVP level to miss 2 years with knee issues to return to that level again? I'll be here waiting all day for you to find someone

Nobody will disagree with that. We're sick of holding the opponent to 70 and losing by 5. That's why adding Melo, Rose, Mirotic, and McDermott this offseason is giving us soft-ons.

I think his point is that you don't understand the difference between chronic and acute injuries. To my knowledge, there is no historical comparison to Derrick Rose's situation right now, so the question can't be answered.
