Wouldn't you want the Bulls to move players like Melo to improve the team if they weren't good enough to win a title?

Weird that Lin expects to keep his jersey number if Melo arrives. Maybe this is about how Melo criticized Lin's big contract. Or about how Melo's return from injury ended Linsanity.

Made it to my car. Had to sacrifice my sneakers to the asphalt god. Fear that my flesh has bonded to the magma-hot leather interior of my vehicle. AC is on, but not sure how long it will hold out.

Send help.

Or Melo.

It's about need. Melo is not needed in Houston as much as he is in Chicago.

Nope but good try lol. Read this please. There are some notable mentions about Chicago and their great defense in this article too for you Bull fans.

I think Rockets are out of the race. Anthony won't consider a franchise where player are disrespected.

I think his point is that you don't understand the difference between chronic and acute injuries. To my knowledge, there is no historical comparison to Derrick Rose's situation right now, so the question can't be answered.

I beg to differ wrote:Derrick already made a complete recovery from his ACL tear against the Sixers in the playoffs. We saw him display his full athletic ability. His current injury has a very high rate of full recovery. When I see most General NBA fans discuss Rose, they don't seem to understand this.

The thing is that he is still two years older know and is over two years removed from playing basketball on a consistent basis. Maybe he does return to his old form but players that suffer repeated major injuries often don't whether it be physical or psychological. I believe that Rose can be a very good player again but I'm not very confident that we will ever see the MVP Rose again.

They weren't ever in the race. Carmelo isn't leaving the Eastern Conference.

Even a player that he probably doesn't like very much? He probably had a huge smile on his face when he saw they gave him Lin's number.

Kevin Garnett, Pau Gasol, Kobe Bryant, Amare Stoudamire, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Kevin Love, Carmelo Anthony ... all strongly rumored to join/be traded to the Bulls. Maybe also Duncan, T-Mac, Grant Hill, and Eddie Jones in 2000, I forget.

Our lives as Bulls fans will never be normal.

That's not really the point though. Lin is under contract to the Houston Rockets and wears #7. Melo is not under contract to Houston and they pretty much pretended he didn't exist. Yeah, he probably won't be there if Melo goes to them, but he's still an employee of the organization right now.

Knicks fans are really sold on Phil's "system". When they say that I'm assuming they mean the triangle. I wonder how much that is going to be part of Phil's pitch. On one hand, look at these offensive ratings

1990-1991 Chicago Bulls 114.6 (1st)
1991-1992 Chicago Bulls 115.5 (1st)
1992-1993 Chicago Bulls 112.9 (2nd)
1995-1996 Chicago Bulls 115.2 (1st)
1995-1996 Phoenix Suns (not totally accurate because Fitzimmons only coached the final 49 games) 110.3 (7th)
1996-1997 Chicago Bulls 114.4 (1st)
1997-1998 Chicago Bulls 107.7 (9th)
1999-2000 L.A. Lakers 107.3 (5th)
2000-2001 L.A. Lakers 108.4 (2nd)
2001-2002 L.A. Lakers 109.4 (2nd)
2008-2009 L.A. Lakers 112.8 (3rd)
2009-2010 L.A. Lakers 108.8 (11th)

On the other hand, when other coaches (two of which were students of Jackson) tried to use it:

2009-2010 Minnesota Timberwolves (HC: Kurt Rambis) 101.7 (29/30)
2010-2011 Minnesota Timberwolves (Rambis) 104.2 (24/30)
1998-1999 Chicago Bulls (Floyd) 92.4 (29/29)
1999-2000 Chicago Bulls (Floyd) 94.2 (29/29)
1996-1997 Dallas Mavericks (Jim Cleamons) 101.1 (28/29)
1993-1994 Dallas Mavericks (Quinn Buckner) 100.4 (27/27)

Gonna be interesting if Phil is as good at getting the right personnel for the triangle as he is at teaching it. I also think that's what he'd have to sell more than just the allure of "the system".

I don't make that assumption. I can't imagine an honest Bulls fan saying they have zero concerns about Rose's ability to stay healthy. But you were comparing him to Amare, saying we couldn't include him in our core. Which is medically and logically unsound.

And fyi I guy who's knees tear 2 years in a row seems to me to be a chronic issue.

Well, its not. Because you don't know what a chronic medical condition is. They are unrelated acute injuries.

And a big laugh at that we won't be relevant for a decade. If you all follow the nba you would realize every 3 years things change.

Again, I didn't say that. I personally think Phil has a reasonably good pitch to Melo about how the Knicks will improve. But on the other hand, the Knicks have been irrelevant for a decade already, more or less. So your every 3 years thing doesn't make much sense.
