He wants to let them down easy in a private location so nobody can see them cry.

Melo also needs to look at the reliability of his team and coaches

Houston- Dwight and Harden are basically jacked up versions of Chandler and Smith in New York, McHale is a terrible basketball coach

Dallas- Dirk is very reliable, Monta is inconsistent but brings it, Chandler is soft at times but I think he performs better in a contract year. Carlisle is probably the best coach outside of Pop so there's that

Los Angeles- Kobe will make Melo take a backseat not even a passenger seat like in the back, they dont have any other players right now and they dont have a coach plus they have the new James Dolan

New York- We know the Knicks will look different likely upfront come 2015, Phil will groom Fisher this year and work from that point. The best thing going is we're his favorite team, he's a New Yorker and the money

Chicago- Most reliable teammates in terms of bringing it every night, probably the deepest as well if they dont have to move core guys like Noah, Rose, Gibson, Butler, McBuckets, Snell and bring Mirotic over plus get DJ and Kirk back plus Thibs the 3rd/4th best coach in the league

Chicago
New York
Dallas
Los Angeles
Houston

in my eyes in the order of where I'd go

especially since I dont see much of a difference between 15M and 20M in salary when I already made damn near 300M in my life

Chicago is the most reliable to change it's starting lineup throughout the season because of Rose and Noah's injury prone-ness.

ESPN has learned, meanwhile, that Bulls officials are headed to LA on Thursday for sitdown with their top target after Melo: Pau Gasol

Convenient, I like it! Heyyyy Melo, didn't expect to run into you here. BTW, meet your new teammate Gasol.

Pau for the MLE. Package Mirotic and Butler for a good SG.

If we manage to land Melo via S&T and keep Taj, I hope we can land Pau Gasol via the MLE (1-2 year deal). I'd rather do that than get Mirotic over this year.

Rose/Augustin/Hinrich
Butler/Vet Min 3D/Hinrich
Melo/McDermott
Gasol/Taj/Bairstow
Noah/Gasol/Vet Min C

That team wins the title (if healthy)

*Gasol will get more than the MLE
