AKA just making sure we have a backup plan in place.

There is NO WAY IN HELL that Gasol can be Plan B! Did they learn NOTHING from 2010?!?

He says the gut feeling he has is if Melo leaves New York, it will be for Chicago.

Is Laurence Holmes reliable?

No he is ok as a host at best but by no means a source.

Thanks. I use to listen to the score few years back, but I stopped because IMO they suck so bad.

I avoid it at all costs now. Just can't take the nonsense from guys like B&B. Even Mulkey and Hanley annoy me. And most of the time they just seem ill informed.

Fits in with what I've believed to be true all along. Melo wanted the chance to hit free agency, go through it, be courted and be told he is the prettiest girl in the room ....

And then will sign a back with New York for more money

Why would the Sixers pay Boozer's salary just to get the 30th or whatever pick next year?

They made some great moves on the defensive side of the ball. Their offense was top 3 in football. They are definitely contenders, especially with the crapshoot the NFL playoffs can be.

The nfl and NBA can't be compared. There is so much pairity in the NFL the nba is different. The bears are contenders. Every team is.

I don't buy until they proved it . The Bears have been very Mediocre the Past few Season . They should had drafted Russell Wilson .

Gasol is so old and done. If they whiff on Melo and sign Gasol, they would compound the problem. I refuse to think GarPax are that dumb. Gasol was the guy to get 10 years ago.

Though sources indicated the Bulls didn't discuss money much with Anthony, team officials remain confident they can make the financials work. This has been, after all, the organization's main focus and plan since the day management pulled the trigger on the Luol Deng trade to the Cavaliers in January.

The Bulls wouldn't have come out of the meeting as confidently as they did if there were massive question marks about money.

I think you are nuts if you think Gasol is done. The guy was super productive last year. Just because the Lakers were terrible and you didn't hear much from him it doesn't mean he sucked.

I like B+B. There's a reason why they're getting paid quite well. As for Laurence Holmes -- I interned for the Score a summer ago. He's a really nice guy. Knows his stuff and knows A LOT OF PEOPLE. No question he and Goff should have had permanent gigs years ago.

I like the Bears, but they are not contenders for anything but a playoff spot.

That's only $68 mil.
Per year means nothing. Guaranteed dollars do.

$68 million has no chance.

I'd say he sucks as a host, but I would really at the very least hope that he wouldn't make that story up about his friend out of thin air.

I doubt he did but I doubt the quality of his source. Hell I might know a guy who knows Melo.
