I went to sleep last night at page 14 on the last thread and haven't been able to check until now.

Can anyone fill me in on the Houston and Dallas pitches? What do we know? Are we still confident?

If we amnesty Boozer and get rid of everyone else except for Rose/Noah/Taj/Jimmy/McDermott, we have 15.94M in cap space. So if we made a pure cap space offer, it's not surprising he wouldn't like it. If we can find a taker for Boozer in trade though, the salary can go all the way up to Melo's max or at least close to it. If we cannot find a taker for Boozer, then we will probably have to trade Taj to clear the space if we really want Melo.

The Boozer stuff really does kind of suggest something is up. Remember they told him he would not be let go unless we brought in a superstar.

And you don't tell a guy's camp that he's gone if you have any interest whatsoever in bringing him back, even as a worst case. It would be a poisonous locker room to bring him back to after that next year.

Thanks mate. Is the consensus amongst the media that it's Chicago or NY still? Or have Houston passed us?

No one really knows and I wouldn't believe any of these sources until you actually see Melo signing to someone
