Why? I don't agree that they will have to take Boozer. It wasn't germane to my point.

Those reports that Melo was disappointed with Bulls' contract offer are probably bogus. No reason to talk $$ on 7/1. Too many variables.
Mike McGraw @McGrawDHBulls 1m
Bulls' job for now is to convince Carmelo that Chicago is where he wants to play. They should be able to clear max cap room if they had to.

Boozer (no brainer)
Mirotic (hold yourself)
Dunleavy (Whatever)
Snell
Randolph
Non Guaranteeds
2015 First rounder
2017 First rounder
Sac Pick
So basically, every real asset that we have outside of Rose, Noah, Gibson, Jimmy, Doug and our 2016 pick.
Take out Mirotic and I'm fine with that.
Personally, Mirotic is a must for me...and most Bulls fans seem on board with that. You have to give to get, it's reasonable. If the Bulls get to keep Butler and McDermott, you can't really be too upset with that. The Sac pick has risks because it could easily become a 2nd rd pick, and the Bulls picks have obvious risks as well because they likely won't be anything to get excited about.
Edit: I'd also prefer the Bulls picks to be 2016 and 2018.

I just called the amount of money the MLE, it doesn't need to technically be the exception to have the same effect.
We can start Melo at roughly 19m and still have a tad over 5m left if we clear everyone out beside Doug McDermott and Jimmy.

IMO, if Mirotic is being added, I think one of our 1st and Sac pick, With an additional 2nd rounder is enough. I see no reason why Knicks should get potentially 3 first round picks.

Yeah he's good with just the information pieces, less quantity more quality.
