Yeah, Theres no way or logical reason for Portland to trade Batum for Monroe.

That is kinda the point of RFA. IF SVG doesn't want anything else on the Blazers roster, we can just say "f off". The blazers can't even offer him a contract outright and need to trade if they want him. If the blazers don't think he is worth that, fine. There really isn't anything more "interesting" to talk about though.

Is what's being rumored that they had a problem with each other? Because what seems clear to me is that their games don't mesh, not their personalities.

Ellis walk/pushback on Monroe making demands story - is that a sign maybe Smith isn't going to be moved now? Or did the story paint Monroe in a less than positive light and this is all about image protection.

Im seriously considering taking a yr off if Smith isnt traded.

Howard demanded Kobe be traded. That didnt affect his value.
