oakland just got swept by the tigers, they've got the best record in baseball and we're playing at the mausoleum, yeah this is going to be kinda difficult. a split would be great

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Three straight lefties after Gray. Ugh. A split would be fine with me. The match-ups look terrible for the Jays.

I actually don't mind the matchups. Hutchison vs Mills should be a win, Stroman vs Milone should be a win. Buerhle vs Kazmir is a toss up and Dickey vs Sonny should be a loss. That being said, I'd love getting away with a 2-2 split, would be huge to take 3 of 4 or better, kind of sucks to lead off with Dickey vs Gray.

The Jays can't hit lefties at all. And even if that wasn't the case, I'll take a split against the best team in baseball for sure.

I'd be pretty ok with a 4-3 or even a 3-4 trip against the A's and Angels.

Just "pretty ok" with a split and series win? I'll be happy with just 4 wins the entire trip.

The A's giant stadium is an ideal place for Dickey to pitch (pitched pretty well there last year if I remember correctly) and Sonny Gray hasn't been as awesome lately as he was early in the season, for I have him on my fantasy team.

The legend of Kawasaki continues. Still hard to understand what the reasoning behind Goins and Getz (?!) being here over him was.

Getz I never understood either.

Goins is a vastly superior defender though and that's why he was here. I don't necessarily agree with it, because there had never been any indication that Goins would even be a sub-par hitter as opposed an atrociously poor one, but the glove is why he was here.

The "legend of Mune" is fun and all, but he's a replacement level player, so it's best not to get too carried away.

Oh, I think everyone should get carried away as much as possible. He's got a .340 OBP against RHP while playing good defense at both middle infield positions since he became a Jay. Gotta respect it.

Dickey vs. Gray tonight... Not expecting a win here. I remember AA admitting we inquired about
Gray at the Season Ticket Holders meeting this winter.

If you look at the scoring criteria this is no more scientific than Buck and Pat's red star plays or whatever they call it, complete waste of time.

Baseball Info Solutions does it through video scouting. You can take it for what it is, just another tool.

He has a wRC+ of 90 against righties. As someone who should strictly be a platoon player, that's servicable but I would definitely stop short of saying excitable.

Doesn't get much better than that (at least for this team since KJ left).

So this is a lark instead of a legit discussion... cool.

Missed your addendum. .. that I can agree with... but it's still on Anthopoulos that we can say that.

When you originally left off the "at least...."edit, yeah, I'd suggest it could be better. Significantly better.
