The scary thing about Marvin Williams. He'd regress come playoff time.
We're not talking about Shane Battier defensively either. I just think he'll be "a guy"
him and Morrow.

One thing I actually wouldn't be surprised about is the fact that Lebron probably is leveraging hard about us making improvements and adding appropriate floor spacers. No doubt it rubs him the wrong way that one of the main guys he came here for in the first place and LEFT money on the table to play with was traded prematurely in a move that oozed of being frugal... not a good look when your owner tries to recoup $$$ off of a player that you initially sacrificed money for. Add to that we KNEW Wade was going to be on a maintenance program and Ray is freaking 38... it actually totally makes sense that Lebron was/is pissed and wants to make the front office sweat and make it up in some way.

I don't mind that. At least we'll have a consistent theme with those additions. We can shoot for Spurs-like spacing and efficiency on offense perhaps. What do we do with a point guard in this situation?
I would be elated to add Hawes/Williams/Morrow
As for PG, with a more traditional lineup with Hawes at the 5 and Bosh at the 4, perhaps Bron can shift back to his Cleveland days when he was the Cavs' de facto PG. I would totally be in favor of it if it allows more room for Bosh to operate so that Bosh can take on the role as our #2 guy on offense.
Dude, LeBron was a PG/SG/SF on offense for the Cavs, but he wasn't guarding opposing PG all the time. Only occasionally in the 4th quarter if Mo Williams couldn't stay with his man (which was like all the time) and if that's really HURTING the team.
He is turning 30, he shouldn't be chasing around PGs anymore for the majority of the game.
If we can get Ariza, now that's a guy who can really lock down even most quick PGs in the 4th.

I absolutely love the idea of Morrow starting and Wade playing the Manu role.
That spacing for LeBron will be beautiful.
CDR is another cheap wing I hope we look into. Maybe can be had for the vet min?

Yikes. He is not even that good to begin with.. regressed Marvin Williams in the playoffs I don't want to see.
What is "a guy"?

"A guy" is someone who cant count on staying in the rotation. Basically Morrow = James Jones. Marvin = Beasley.
Now obviously since we're defensive oriented. Marvin will likely last longer in the rotation than Beasley.
It'd be nice to have guys that we knew we can count on in our system.

I was speaking in terms of offense, which is why I referenced his role in Cleveland.

Wade sitting for Morrow. Good lord.
And Spo isnt exactly Pop in terms of taking a castoff and turning him into a legit starter (Danny Green)

eh, I think this might be a little overblown. 1 - Lebron knows that the repeater tax didn't exist then and that Mickey was against this CBA, I'm sure he gets that things got pricier than anticipated real quick, 2 - if Lebron was frustrated with Wade being in and out of the lineup, why do we assume he was missing Miller that much? Dude was always injured.
I love Mike and as it turned out, he was healthy and would've been particularly useful this year, but I doubt LBJ begrudges the Heat on this one too much. I do think, though, that he's probably seeing how taking one paycut can become cumulative over your career and is having second thoughts about taking another one, that will start to add up quick when you consider compounding raises.

Yeah I'm desperately stretching at this point
If you're implying that what I posted was suppose to shock every body...guess you got it all wrong. Of course they were all in the movie and are friends which leads to connections. I'm just pointing out that Wade is having a good time...besides all of the none sense.

Not really. He didn't guard PGs much, but when he did he didn't look good doing it. His biggest use for that came in the Bulls series where he had about half a dozen matchups on DJ Augustin. Augustin scored on about half of them, but missed some open looks (he got an open look just about every time). Ariza did a lot of lunging and got caught on a lot of screens.

According to Bleach Report's Ethan J. Skolnick, the Miami Heat have contacted Stephenson regarding his free agency status and could be interested in signing the guard.

Yes, clearly I'm indicating that Morrow is the superior player
Lineup balance is kind of important. LeBron plays his best without Wade on the court. LeBron thrives with shooters around him. Morrow would get a lot of open looks.
Fun fact:
When Morrow steps on the floor Pelican opponents offensive rating declines by 4.1 points.

Now, that is largely due to who he is playing with, but the same could very well be true with him largely playing with LeBron. He's not a defensive juggernaut by any means, but his inability to play defense is overstated.

I never said that you implied he was a superior player. I'm saying you're asking DWADE to NOT START.....for Anthony Morrow. Thats not happening. If you said start Ray Allen and use Wade in that role. I could MAYBE see Wade going for it. Wade is too prideful to come off the bench for Anthony Morrow.
I agree we need shooting in our starting lineup though.
