So we are at the top of Isaiah Thomas list if we could get him for mid level that would be nice

I hope you're right.

I want nothing to do with Butler, he's done. He picked OKC last year, he better stay there.

No more over the hill nostalgia additions. Don't want Mario or Nelson Or Marion either. Get young.

Didn't Pistons offer him 8 per year X 3 years?

No way we're matching that.

Danny Green is a good comparison, in Role and skillset.

Green is a better defender, Morrow better shooter/scorer.

After a lot of thought the last couple weeks, i came to the conclusion that we don't really need a "major" fa acquisition. A matter of fact i believe that if we came back with a similar roster (all healthy) as last season we can still compete and go to the finals.
I believe we need more of a system change rather than a "major" personnel change. This team as currently constructed is very perimeter focused. Now that wouldn't normally matter because we have two of the best perimeter players in wade/lebron, but when one of them are not playing at their best the system falls apart.

We needed a fall back plan when wade was clearly struggling in the finals, and was hoping instead of having bosh standing around the 3pt line we could of tried an inside/outside game and ran plays for bosh in the post. Not saying it would of helped us chip, but maybe slow the game down a little because we couldn't keep up with their shooting. Then there is the fact that our offense completely stalled the last 3 games.

Getting back to being a top defensive team is what is most important for the Heat and Isaiah does the opposite of defend. He tries but hes just too small.

Danny Green is a way better defender. I remember last year he stopped so many of our fast break points and would stop even Lebron

It was so frustrating

There is no denying he is talented. He is just a head case. But so was Rodman and Jordan and Pippen were able to control him. I think our guys stand a better chance of doing that than soft as babyspit Roy Hibbert and catfish Paul George. He turned down a 5 year deal staring at $8M, which is in line for a talented athletic wing who can shoot and defend. Plus, it would make a great story! But would it anger Lebron?

I don't mind him at all.. but as you said, he turned down $8.8M ($44M/5) from the Pacers so he is pretty much out.because of that. We ain't paying him more than $8.8M per year! Who does he think he is, Denis Rodman??? I'm sure LeBron wouldn't mind Lance if he can be had for like $6M... the dude is basically asking $9M+ and that's just too much for his service+antics+whatever else he can bring to the table.

Isn't he restricted? I don't see Sac not matching a mid level contract for their 2nd best player

Risk/Reward is there I believe. Yeah, hes a clown but the potential to blossom into a star is there and 3 years from now we could regret not paying the extra couple of million a year for him. We know what the Arizas, the Morrows and the Paus will bring to the table. Think long term. This guy could be with us the next 12 years. Its worth the risk if we can do it
