People who are like me won't read this post, but am I the only person who doesn't read one thing anyone say's in this thread unless there is a twitter comment or a journalist giving news. I can go through each page in about 15 seconds. If you respond to this post, there is a good chance I wont read it!

P.S Just decide Melo, I'm ready to move on. Don't care what choice he makes anymore. Just want to move on with Plan A or plan B.

I predict Gasol goes to OKC. What a fit that would be!

FO meeting with Gasol.

He's a member of the team.

Recruit maybe?

8-)

Right I mean that's obvious. But one would think that The front office can handle recruiting Pau Gasol. Why need Noah. It's not like Pau is a LBJ. So why waste the time.

I just want to move on to Kevin Love already. Hopefully Carmelo makes his decision before the night is over.

Players are the #1 key for recruiting these days, not front office.

- cable exec was part of meeting James Worthy was part of pitch Thinks Kobe scheduled to meet with Carmelo after the knicks meeting which is pretty interesting cause its either Jackson getting last word or Kobe getting last word Jeanie Buss running meeting

- lakers still meeting with Carmelo

- Bulls meeting with Gasol in next 5 mins Thinks Bulls have the money that could talk to Gasol when Bulls miss on Carmelo but interesting thing is that latest rumor is that Carmelo wants to play with Gasol Cause you dont want to play with one star but with 2 Doesnt think the Bulls have the money to land both Gasol and Carmelo so thinks they are tied together with either the lakers or knicks Would be a good player for Bulls if they could land Gasol Very intelligent Not a first option for scoring but has plenty left

- thibs might hurt cause he has rep for playing players to many minutes san antonio is front runner cause pop not giving to many minutes during season Also heard durant and westbrook meeting with Gasol went very well Heard Gasol raved about that meeting

- Thinks Carmelo goes back to new york Heard that Jackson and Carmelo have really hit it off fisher and jackson sitting their with their rings could sway Carmelo Would have to have a rough first year but then 2015 cap space is there That said the lakers believe they have a real shot at landing Carmelo and Gasol could be the key If they can get Gasol back thinks Carmelo could come Lot of optimism coming out of lakers front office that last couple days concerning Carmelo Think they got a real shot

LOL at Fisher using "his rings" to try and recruit Melo. That's like Mario Chalmers using "his rings" to try and recruit somebody. Simply standing on the court while Shaq/Kobe/Gasol or LeBron/Wade/Bosh gets your team a title doesn't make you an expert on winning. Hell, maybe the Spurs should use Bonner as a recruiter, he's got rings.

Pretty bad imo. They are a run and gun squad. See how that worked in LA when they got Dantoni. Doesnt fit Paus game. More of a set up offense type of player. SA is a good fit. Knicks suck. We would be nice as well.

one has a ring as coach, and he is not on that function at Knicks, and other has rings as player and he is the Knicks coach, this is just so stupid

Ha ha. If there's any ounce of truth to that - enjoy Melo and enjoy Gasol. I will take Bulls with whoever they get aside from Melo over a Melo and Gasol-led Knicks squad. I'll also take about 4 or 5 other West teams over a Kobe/Melo/Gasol combo in L.A. Melo in Chicago (with or without Gasol) is so the best scenario for him winning.

I dont think anything at all of the reporters saying they "think" Melo goes back to NY. Zip zero nada. It is exactly what people were saying about James and CLE back in 2010. They know nothing, but of course in every interview they are asked to state where they think he is going so go with the default answer. It may end up being true, but it has nothing to do with actual reporting. Its the same as many of us here saying he will go back to NY for the money, hometown, etc.

What's the plan if we strike out on Melo, Love, Pau, and Lance?

Why so impatient?

On your last day of meetings, would you make a decision THEN? or would you take a few days to weigh your options? Consult with your family?

You guys need to relax

BTW

Should of made Love the priority

Resign Deng and then pretend like it was the plan all along, probably.

@ramonashelburne: Carmelo Anthony just left his Lakers meeting. Mitch Kupchak walked him to his car

I refuse to believe that Gasol ends up being the single most important piece in Melo's decision. If I know I have very few chances left to win a championship and Gasol is the guy that is going to tip the scale deep down I know I'm screwed.

SAS, on his last broadcast about Melo before taking off said

Chicago isn't a sure thing for Melo because of the FO's relationship with Thibs and his reputation for overplaying his players.
