D-Rose's knees are a serious issue.

I love the guy but I'm not investing 5 years of my career with the hopes that he'll stay healthy. He goes down again and Melo's back where he started.

That's why, IMO, he was never a realistic option.

Even if Rose doesn't return to form, Chicago is still a better team than the Knicks until proven otherwise. Melo is not taking a huge paycut by signing with another team if they can give him the max. There's literally like a $4 million difference until the 5th year kicks in.

If Westbrook has had three knee surgeries and is still the player he was (mostly), I'm not worried about Rose. I'm sorry, I'm just not. Superstar point guards don't just appear, and honestly neither do really good point guards.

Apologies if my quoting of posts isn't good, I'm on an iPhone4 so I can't control anything anymore.

Michael Jackson- sorry dude. Was meant to be funny, now just looks like I'm a ****.

Thanks a ton apple!

Westbrooks injuries were minor. Nobody ever questioned that he would come back 100%.

You don't think Lebron can take his talents to wind city and play for the Chicago Bulls, right?

LeBron will never be a Bull, it's like thinking you will score with the hottest girl in high school, your just teasing yourself. He won't leave south beach for lake michigan that's for sure.

lol scoring with the hottest girl in high school wasnt that hard. Those girls are moved like a Nate in the NBA.

I am sorry I dont believe any of that, however if true this pretty much puts the nail in the coffin of the "we must have our guys recruit". Unless you have a long standing relationship with the guys as James, Wade, Bosh did and can plan it out years in advance its a waste. Again..if true...which I dont think any of it is.

I promise you its true. Also Melo will inform teams by late Monday of his decision officially. Doesn't mean he won't tell his people earlier though.

Let's be real

Whats more likely to happen Rose staying healthy or a rookie gm and coach building a championship roster in five years?

Something else about NY is they are apparently going to run the triangle. Doesn't that offense take a year minimum to learn? So after adding a random unnamed superstar in free agency next year and jettisoning 95% of the roster to do so they'll all have to take a year to become proficient in the offense.

Everything rational says he should go to Chicago or Houston if he prioritizes winning. That said, I can't blame the guy if NY offers the max. That would be tough to turn down.

Is ANYTHING funnier than the knick FANBASE booing MELO all year and now just gloating over the fact they might have him back now at a MAX DEAL they said they would NEVER have to give him?

Pablo prigioni is just dancing around the locker room in a thong waiting to welcome MELO back.

Naw I am a realist. Missing on Melo is far from the end of the world if we do. This team gets better in the offseason regardless. Miami should be on suicide watch.

Rose had the same meniscus injury as Westbrook.

The big injury was the ACL and Rose came back from that and looked fine athletically.

He was just rusty during the regular season.

Not feeling good about this at all.
I'm not here to argue.
