Hmmm this guy cited that Dengs agent has said Deng likes the Heat and they haven't spoken about money, but they are waiting for the Big 3 to sort out

Apparently other teams have inquired about Mario and Mario isn't sure if the Heats interest

Nice link, this strikes me as mostly plausible/believable. Got Deng's agent to comment on record, too, which is pretty impressive actually.

I think it's a pretty fair point that if, at the end of the day, we are only clearing enough space to offer a guy a deal starting at ~7M/year, it might make sense to just go the "capped out" route and use exceptions so the team can at least give pay raises to guys like Ray and compensate guys like Haslem. I guess that's only unattractive if there's someone you really really want who won't take the full MLE but would take 6-7M. But that means asking those other guys to come back on the vet min, which the front office might not want to do.

Dont really want Rio, maybe, MAYBE, for vet minimum. Nothing more. He's a backup PG, and we shouldn't spend on that position more then the minimum. It's probably time for him to move on.

And really not feeling the Deng love. AT ALL.

Got a body of a 35 year old, always gets hurt, career 3 shooter of BELOW 33%, Can't even defend PF's like Battier did and play as a stretch 4, what's even the point of putting all our money on him.

i am not too high on him rather have Morrow and Hawes or some combination like that^^

but i get that some are intrigued.. he is an All Star.. he is a great all rounder and plays amazing defense!

like you though i think there are red flags.. injuries... and Shooting range ... so i see he is a great player.. but i dont know if he is a great fit^^

I rather have Ariza than Deng. Deng is not that good at the 3 pointers either, not to our standard

Thibs really overused Deng, hence him being injured all the time.

Both are expensive though, yet we after them with Ariza being the top target

I didn't realize Lebron had a different agent in 2010 that he does now

He had the same agent as Melo, Leon Rose.

Now he got Rich Paul

He is in Cleveland right now talking to other teams (his agent, not Lebron)

Some good info in there. Oh crap! We contacted Swaggy P!!

Pretty much expected us to be in contact with Jameer Nelson's agent.

Pau Gasol really holding the market. All the top teams want him, he has money offers, his won a title, he hates losing, doesn't want to move for sack of moving and all the top players in the NBA are recruiting him. Right now, Pau could decide who's the favorite to win title next year.

Thanks for the info. Makes perfect sense. I'm kind of thinking he is going with Phil to NY or staying with the Lakers. Where are the Heat at with other targets you mentioned like VC, Ariza etc.?

Morrow would be a solid addition but at the right price. He is about as one-dimensional a player as it gets. Literally contributes nothing else, but shoots 3s at an elite pace.

Well when we sign Morrow and the big 3 leave, we'll have plenty of space for more small deals!!

SIGN HAWES OR GASOL PLEASE!

If melo gets Pau to the Knicks we won't have to worry about then until 2015 offseason when they get cap space

Really Pau going Knicks doesn't affect anything much like adding 1000 gallons to dried up desert sands but the same water could fill your pool of title hopes

Which makes it all the more interesting because thats who Broussard is getting his info from. Back in 2010 it was mainly Worldwide Wes.

Which makes me wonder....

if Amico is getting his info from "LeBron's new circle"

Even though he's a hack. He's been on point as far as meeting with teams.

With that said.....Maybe they are just using Broussard/Amico to put pressure on the Heat.

However, stuff like this isnt good for guys like Pau to see.

Word. Lets pretend that battier was able to defend any PF he encountered.

Some of you are really obsessing over Lebron and these "multiple sources" on twitter of all places...when the guy literally hasn't said a word. It's kind of getting ridiculous.

Keep calm and just hope the off season pickups don't completely suck.

Honestly hawes instead of Pau might be a better fit even though the name isn't as big, probably as good at defense as Pau is currently 8 years younger, a skilled passer and he has range

Hawes
Bosh
LeBron
Wade
Napier

Is 4 3pt snipers yet with more rebounding and better defense
