Switch out Lance for Waiters and I'm with you.

I think it takes Gibson, Butler and pick to get Love, so I think we'd Lance to be that wing defender. It certainly setups up a clear 1,2,3 option. With Rose, Love and Lance.

Sounds like I've missed some important updates.

Not really. Just a lot of Negative Nancies and people overreacting to every single Tweet sent out. I'm skeptical we'll get anything until Monday.

Is Dion Waiters good?

As a wing player/SG who can get his own offense, create, break down a defender and get to the basket, absolutely. And he comes without the mental issues, off court baggage and $50 + million price tag of Lance.

He's not coming here and scheduling a meeting with him would be nothing more than a waste of time.

If Melo isn't coming here, we need to turn our attention to Kevin Love.

Obviously, he's not doing anything till he sees the lay of the land. He's going to go where he can win.

What I want to say is all this start with the draft that brings D-Rose to the team. But ok, Noah starts to be a beast in 2009 and ends up DPOY this year.

But again, my point is... even the two all star we have since 98, beside Rose, we get via draft.

Gar and Pax seems to never took any risks, like the Celtics did in 08, Lakers did with Dwight...

They drafted Noah because they swindled the Knicks in a trade they're still reaping the benefits from, but sure it wasn't big fish free agency, so it doesn't count.

No risks? They shipped out Golden Boy Kirk Hinrich in 2010 to go for Lebron, and dumped their boy Deng this time around. Complain about choosing Boozer, signing Wallace, etc, but the risk aversion premise doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Plus, half the things you've complained about the past few pages weren't even good moves--Dwight to LA? Monta Ellis?

And without the ability to defend 2s at a high level, let alone 3s, a skill that makes Lance an ideal fit with Doug McD.

In other news, Lebron might be going back to Cleveland.

Sorry, you'll never get me aboard the Lance train. And don't say I didn't warn you guys about him 3 years from now.

So once again Bulls fans are worried about defense? :nonono:

Thanks guys. I was getting worried for a second there

I'm still cautiously optimistic. If he leaves, it has to be for Chicago, but the panic is a good reminder that him staying is a very real scenario and we should be thinking about backup plans.

Far too many people panicking over nothing. Apparently everyone thought Melo was just going to visit us and then say "**** the rest of my FA tour. I am coming to Chicago." That was never going to happen.

Wonder if Pau countered and told him if you go to Chicago, I'll join you. And then reiterated how the Knicks suck balls.

16 ppg on 46% shooting, 37% from 3 as a 22-year-old. Much sounder option than Stephenson.
