The Bulls likely won't be making any S&T that doesn't involve Boozer, and we're not going to gut the entire damn roster just to get him, like you guys did with Denver.

for what reason? to waste our time again?

Sure if time is the only downside. I'll live if Lance Stephenson signs elsewhere. Bulls with Lebron is a clear path to Finals (even without rose). He can't get that with any other team.

Cle: bulls still an obstacle with healthy rose
Wcf teams: clearly not

On the next ESPN 30 for 30 "Melo: I Did It All For Gasol"
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

Keep then trade? Wow that would be hilarious, I doubt Phil re-ups him and then trades him later.

Or do you just mean you prefer the s and t?

Obviously New York suck as it is, but for Gasol to take that money would be ridiculous.

Seriously, for that money, both of them could come to Chicago and then some.

Wow, didn't know that. Pau to NYK is looking less and less likely now.

Because of Melo's caphold they can only offer him a contract under 4Million. Melo is a goner.

I think there is at least equal (i'd probably say greater) that LBJ comes here than Melo.

- Miami is not going to win next year
- He doesn't need to take the max even though he is suggesting he wants it
- He would demonstrate that the ECF goes through HIM, not Miami
- The bulls, IN GENERAL, are cooler than the Heat. It would up his cool factor

I guess the premise of the whole Gasol to NY thing is trying to swing a S&T deal with the Lakers sending Bargs to the Lakers. Although I can't see why the Lakers would do that. Like...at all.

Boozer plus a year's supply of head paint.

Counter-offer, go.

If push comes to shove, which it wont because Melo is taking the money and running--Mirotic, MDJ, Snell. Possibly a first rounder. Which is more than enough to get it done. Its probably over paying. Its all dependent on Melo. Always was.

Dont really want Mirotic. Would prefer McDermott. MDJ is gett old. Snell is a bum. At best an average 3 d player.

Thats a pretty terrible offer honestly. I think Bulls fans think they will sign him outright which isnt going to happen.

Haha. I mean i would rather keep Melo then sign and trade him to another team. Although it would be funny to trade him against his own will to get better players lol.

We may not have the best year next season, but the following one we would have some cap space to work with and another year of Phil making things happen. ITs been a long time since we had somebody intelligent making basketball decisions.

Look, if Melo made it clear that he wanted Chicago...you'd be lucky to get anything of value. You can bluff all you want, but you'd take what you could get. Especially if it means Boozer was already amnestied and you wouldnt have to take him on. Melo is a UFA. Why in the world do the Knicks fans think they have that much leverage? You really dont.

Well if Phil is unwilling to take back Boozer the deal goes down and we dont take back any bad contracts to start. Because we now also lose the MLE.

So Sac pick and our 2015 pick are in play i would think. Snell would be available for sure, not so sure about Mc3 or Mirotic.

So sac pick, 15' pick, snell and possible Mc3 -or- Mirotic.

If Melo agrees to play for Chicago, the Knicks are not getting McDermott.

Lebron isn't playing for anything but the max - and we don't have that available.
